How long does each dog training session last?
Our session are anywhere from 40 to 60 min depending on the dog. We spend a great deal of time analyzing the problem behaviors and your goals (nipping, biting, barking, resource guarding, etc.). From there, we determine a training program that will outline how many sessions are needed. Each session after the initial will last roughly 1 hour depending on your dog’s ability that day and what is being taught. Remember: you as an owner, must be fully invested in this learning process to get the results you want!

Do you use treats to train dogs?
Yes, we are balanced trainers — which means that we don’t adhere to one specific method. We work with your dog to find out what motivates them. One size does not fit all — dogs are unique in their likes and dislikes, just like humans. Some dogs aren’t very food motivated, and prefer play, toys, praise, etc. This is especially important when fixing undesirable behavior like running off and being at risk of getting run over.

At K9 Mania Dog Training, 100% of our focus is on you and your dog and your unique situation. We address behavioral problems from a holistic standpoint, whether that’s barking, nipping, separation anxiety, or something else. We identify and work through behavioral and environmental issues in your everyday environment and in a setting where we can control when to introduce other distractions (i.e. other dogs, people, children, etc.). Group classes are not ideal for addressing these issues since they often come with many distractions, other dogs with behavioral issues or one trainer for multiple dogs.

How long will it take to train my dog?
Every dog is different with unique behavioral issues that can affect the length of time it would take to train them. Quick-fixes and shortcuts can potentially do more harm than good. That’s why we work closely with your dog and you to make sure that you know what to expect. With the right amount of commitment, consistency, and effort, your dog should make steady progress that will last a lifetime. No more pulling on the leash or barking at other dogs. We promise that if you give 100% to help your dog, we will do the same.

She loves the pack walks and even tries to be the leader of the group (she falls behind because she has to stop and sniff everything 🤣). She is much less reactive towards other dogs and has even made some friends. One of our goals for Dolce is for her to get along with our daughter’s dog. On Father’s Day the 2 dogs enjoyed a short visit. They were soooo happy to see each other. They were both smiling and had their tails wagging. There were lots of kisses and sniffing. Progress!!! Thanks to Miss Jaime and Jayden Dolce is such a happy girl and is living her best life ❤️🐾

It was clear every day how much love and care she gave Abbie, and I am so grateful for everything she did. The only area that could use some improvement—and this has nothing to do with Jaime as a trainer—is the coordination and communication regarding schedules and timing. Better organization in that aspect would make the overall experience even smoother. Overall, I am incredibly thankful for Jaime’s dedication, kindness, and professionalism. I would absolutely trust her again with Abbie and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and skilled trainer.

We highly recommend! When we brought our 2-year-old rescue, Rocco, to K9 Mania, we were feeling overwhelmed and discouraged by his reactivity issues. As a former stray, he came with challenges that made it seem impossible for him to become a happy, well-adjusted member of our multi-dog family. From day one, K9 Mania gave us hope. They took the time to understand both Rocco and our goals, never pushing programs or making us feel judged. We were matched with Erika, who immediately connected with Rocco and reassured us that his situation was far from hopeless. Erika’s knowledge, patience, and genuine care made all the difference. She was always there to answer questions, offer encouragement, and celebrate every small victory along the way. Today, Rocco is truly part of our pack. He’s happier, more confident, and a completely different dog than the one who first walked through their doors. We are incredibly grateful to Erika and the entire K9 Mania team for helping us see the wonderful dog we always knew was in there.
