My 14 month old GSP was exhibiting anxious and aggressive behavior. He was barking out of control. We brought him to Matt at K9 Academy for the 3 week program. There is an amazing transformation in his behavior. He follows commands he is very calm and well behaved. The most important thing is how comfortable our boy was with Matt and his staff which was a great relief. Bringing our boy to K9 was the best decision we made! We cannot thank them enough!!

I cannot begin to express my heartfelt thanks to Matt and the team at K9 Learning Academy.i have a 16 month old Goldendoddle. I contacted several places for training and everyone of them just wanted to tell me the cost and sign me up immediately. Matt was the ONLY person I contacted who told me I would need to bring my dog for an in person evaluation before he could agree to work with me. I sat and watched Matt observe my dog and his behavior. He was pulling, jumping on people, and I couldn't get this behavior under control. Matt agreed to work with us. I liked that he took the time to meet both of us instead of "just signing us up." I was scheduled to bring him the following month. I needed to change that and explained to him why, he was completely understanding and moved my dog.Once there he sent videos at the end of each week to report his progress. I can tell you that my dog is amazingly different. He is calm, he sits to greet people, no more jumping and pulling!! It is now a pleasure to be outdoors with him. We hired Caleb to help us with our 6 year old Border Aussie, Lincoln, because we had a new baby coming into the house and had some concerns about how Lincoln would adjust. Looking back, hiring Caleb was one of the best decisions we could have made for Lincoln and our family. Caleb took Lincoln in for a couple of weeks for training, and after bringing him back home, he continued working with us weekly. What really impressed us was that Caleb looked beyond just training and paid attention to Lincoln’s overall health and behavior. He strongly encouraged us to have Lincoln’s thyroid checked. We took his advice, and he was absolutely right—the vet discovered that Lincoln had a thyroid problem. Caleb also helped us get Lincoln on the right diet and explained that between his thyroid issue and being overweight, some of the behaviors we were seeing could have been related to him being uncomfortable or in pain. We are extremely grateful that Caleb noticed something we hadn’t and pushed us to get it checked. His training is also very hands-on and focused on real\-life situations. We’ve had sessions at our house, taken Lincoln to the river, and worked with him in different environments. Caleb has even gotten Lincoln to the point where we feel comfortable boarding him with Caleb from time to time—something we honestly never thought we would be able to do before his training. Lincoln has shown a huge improvement, and Caleb continues to be someone we trust with him. He genuinely cares about the dogs he works with and takes the time to understand the whole picture, not just correct a behavior. We are very grateful for everything Caleb has done for Lincoln and our family. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone they can trust with their dog.

After having a new baby, we wanted our 5 year old Border Aussie evaluated to ensure that we were doing everything we could as new parents to create a safe and happy environment for our family. When our dog was younger, he was happy and playful and thin. Over a course of two years, we noticed rapid weight gain, grumpiness, and a short patience with strangers. With a new baby coming into the home, we knew it was time to seek additional advice. This was when we were introduced to Caleb and the staff at K9 Learning. Lincoln went away for about 5 weeks and when he came back, we learned so much about his temperament, triggers, and physical well-being. Caleb helped push us to learn more about his health where we discovered he had hypothyroidism which was contributing to his weight gain, rashes, ear infections, and his attitude. Caleb also taught us so much about Lincoln and worked with us to get him back to his snuggly happy self. A few months later, Caleb has become one of Lincoln's favorite people! Lincoln is down 10lbs, rashes are getting lesser, energy higher, and his bubbly side has re-surfaced! He doesn't care about our little girl bumbling around the house and has even started seeking her out when she is not nearby. We are so lucky to have found Caleb and the staff at K9 Learning. We now feel like we have a pack of support not only for us as dog owners, but for Lincoln. We are forever grateful!!
