K9 Intuition Dog Training

I want to thank Stefano and his trainers for everything they’ve done for our rescue Astro. His 5 Step program gave us a great foundation for Astro. He has made himself available for any questions we have had since we completed the program. His knowledge and commanding presence with Astro and all the dogs he works with is nothing but amazing. He’s giving us the tools to give Astro a new lease on life. Thank you Stefano we will be forever grateful.

To start with I have a French bulldog/Boston terrier mix who is five years old and very stuck in his ways, he was attacked by a dog when he was younger which made him very reactive and fear aggressive towards other dogs. It really became an issue when I moved to apartment building which required me to take him outside and be around other dogs. He would pull on the leash and react so much that I could not control him and it was the most frustrating and embarrassing thing to deal with. I reached out to K9 Intuition literally a month before moving states and they were willing to work with me and crunch their training into a schedule that worked for me. I was hesitant but trusted them and really felt like I had no other choice so I went with it and so happy I did. Candice was a pleasure to work with and she showed so much love and care for my dog, she explained everything so perfectly and made it really easy to learn and take these lessons with me. He is a dream to walk with on the leash now he listens and behaves so good in public now, we are still working on the dog reactivity as certain things trigger him more than others but for the most part with commands he ignores dogs. On walks I even get people saying “ I wish my dog listened and walked like that“ Overall I am so thankful we decided to go with K9 Intuition for a training, I wish I could’ve started with them as a puppy!

Nothing but sincere appreciation for K9 Intuition. Their approach to dog behavior modification really helped us. My dog, Squish, would 'lose it' every time we were out walking and we would see another dog or cat. Being in public was extremely stressful for me. But after five sessions with Stefano, Squish has gone from barking, snarling and lunging at *every* dog or cat that he has encountered, to noticing other dogs and whining a little bit at them. Which is huge for him. With cats there has been a reduction in his response intensity. Every day we continue to work and practice and every day he gets a little better. And Stefano continues to be available for questions. Attached is a picture from our last class of Stefano working with Squish (black and white dog) and one of Stefano's dogs. Squish did soo well. I contacted K9 intuition after a visit form animal control. I went to the evaluation an emotional wreck & I was ready to give up on my dog, I was done! I was ready to re home him. I was not able to walk my 100 pound lab because he walked me, he would act aggressive towards other dogs so I would not walk him because I had no control over him. All of my neighbors hated us because of the way my dog acts, he literally acts like a crazy, killer dog if/when he sees other dogs. It was paying for the 5 step training or re home my dog & break my kids hearts. I decided to give it a try because my kids begged me to not re home him. Little did I know I was the one that needed the training. It started with me! I learned so much! I learned how to be in control when before he was in full control. I can now walk my dog with full confidence AND control. I never thought I would see that day! Now my dog goes into avoidance when he sees a dog instead of into “attack” mode. It’s unbelievable! Was it expensive YES!!!! But I now have a peace of mind, control & I’m no longer a nervous wreck with my own dog. It was definitely worth it! My neighbors must be shocked to see me out walking my dog because before I never let him outside that front door because I had no control of him. Now I have full control & confidence! I’m sure I’m turning heads once Rocket & I walk out that front door with a well behaved dog! 😁😍 I have a new dog in just 5 weeks! It takes work but I’m now a happy dog mom & not stressed out like I was before his training. I’m so glad I gave in & went ahead with the training & kept him. I did have to travel a bit, I drove an hour & 20 minutes but it was worth it for the training WE (him & I) received.
