K9 Control Training

Well I waited to give my review because I knew we had some camping trips planned for this year. Hank is doing great. I knew that going places and including him in our activities would have been impossible. Now that he received the training and we were able to learn how to implement it it’s been a great experience and I highly recommend K9 Control it was well worth every penny.. Thank You Owen we couldn’t have done this without you!!

My 7 year old Aussie (Fisher) was trained 6 years ago at the Charleston location. We recently moved to Greenville so I scheduled a follow-up session with Owen. As soon as Owen took over and worked with Fisher for a bit, it was like he never missed a beat! It was amazing to see what he was capable of even 6 years later. I was a little nervous to bring him after a while away from his formal training, but Owen is so relatable, and I left feeling prepared to continue with Fisher's training and keep him on track. Owen not only gave me a good refresher training session but he also answered my questions and talked me through various scenarios I wanted to work on with Fisher, like going on walks with distractions. We are so excited to be back into the swing of things, and are looking forward to attending group classes in the future. I really love the lifetime support we get with Owen & the staff at K9 Control. His training was worth every penny and continues to make a difference in our lives!

The Best call I could have made!..I contacted K9 because I was getting so many opinions (too many) - everyone was chiming in - breeder/vet/famly.. it was confusing and overwhelming. And we had 2 and 1/2 pounds of cuteness that made it hard to not give in to her every whim..I knew we were in trouble. Owen's introduction to us and our new dog was calming - he got down on her level to interact - and right off the bat got her to listen - it was nothing short of amazing. That calm was the tone for our entire visit. K9's approach is that we are a team - the goal being the best life - a partnership if you will - between us and our pet. Owen listened to our concerns, gave positive reinforcement for the things we were doing right, and offered advice and guidelines to make our life - and Bea's life - better. We could not be happier and look forward to working with them in the future as Bea grows older.

Took our Scarlet in for an initial consult and liked what we heard about the training. We also felt that with our schedule having her boarded while being trained was the best option. The trainer was up front and open about everything. They were respectful, but honest about how they train and how important it was for us to keep up the work they stated. We scheduled her drop off after we decided to go with them. While she was there they gave us weekly reports on how she was doing and how things were progressing. When I went for the in person visit I was amazed at how well she was doing. She listened and after a bit of extra training (for the owner) she showed off her newly learned skills. We picked her up a few weeks ago and she still is doing great. Her personality is much better and watching other dog owners struggle to keep their dogs under control while mine just lays there quietly is a great feeling. I highly recommend K9 Control Training. Scarlet has gone from a wild dog to a nice and quiet well behaved dog. Their continued support after the training is over will be extremely helpful in keeping her trained. I couldn’t be happier with the results.
