K9 Control Training

I was incredibly hesitant to drop my dog off for training. Since Covid started, I have and continue to be “work from home.” It was great because it meant I could spend all day with my dog. However, it exacerbated several minor issues I had not addressed to the point where I could not leave my dog for more than an hour. Severe separation anxiety and continual listening resilience kept mounting, and I knew I needed help. What caught my eye about K9 control, to begin with, was the evaluation of you and your dog. I met with Joe, and everything he said made complete sense. It was not easy, but we collectively decided six weeks would be the best to address my dog's issues at his current age (3). Stasia was assigned to be Darwin’s trainer. I appreciated that they paired Darwin with a female trainer. From the comments in Darwin’s report cards, I could see Stasia truly knew and cared about my dog. When I picked up Darwin after he completed his training, I knew my training was just beginning. Stasia went through everything with me and provided her contact if I needed help or support. My dog and I have attended the group classes and still check-in and chat with his excellent trainer weekly. We received support and help at the group class where we needed it. I have never seen a group of dogs so well behaved and calm before. I knew my dog loved Stasia, but when we saw her at the group, he loved on her like the reunion at the end of Homeward Bound. He is now an amazing listener, able to calm himself in situations, and can channel his energy appropriately. None of this would have been possible without K9 Control and Stasia. My dog and I now have several opportunities and adventures ahead of us. If not sent to proper training, it is truly a disservice to your dog. My only regret is that I wish I had found K9 control sooner.

Best decision we have made for our pup and the family! Ruby is a Bernedoodle, the sweetest dog and we needed help with training. K9 Control told us they'd give us a Ferrari and they were 100% correct. When we picked up Ruby, she still had her cute personality but was more well behaved then we could've ever imagined. We get stopped every time we are out as everyone wants to know why she is so well behaved and how she listens to commands so well. Training was great, but our favorite part is the ongoing interaction with Stasia(trainer) at 2x a month trainings. This helps us improve our handling, keeps Ruby sharp and gives a chance to practice off leash in a safe environment with the K9 Control team.
