K9 Concepts Dog Training

This review is long overdue, but I want to thank Gus and his team at K9 for their work with our dog, Revan, an American pit bull terrier. One year ago this month, my husband and I moved to Vienna, Austria. Not only were we under pressure to train our dog to go from living in suburbia with a large backyard to city apartment living, but Austria also has strict regulations with this breed, so we needed to make sure he could pass these regulations AND live comfortably and peacefully in an urban environment. Gus and his team truly performed a miracle because Revan was a challenge! He came to us at 4 months old skittish, shy, and insecure. He had a lot of challenges when it came to trusting people and other dogs. To say that my husband and I are thankful is an understatement. Revan is truly a different dog. We can walk him in the streets with no issues; he sits calmly under tables when we go out to dinner, and overall he is confident and secure. We attribute all this to Gus and his team. We cannot thank you enough, GUS!

I sent my dog scrubbles for 30 day rehabilitation and obedience training, I could not be more happy. Gus is absolutely amazing with the dogs. He gives them an alpha to look up to and respect, while teaching them firmly but kindly. Scrubbles is back to having a normal life and able to go for walks in public, he heals directly by my side and listens to every command. Gus always answers every question I have before, during and after training. I highly recommend no matter if it’s simply obedience training, for aggressive behavior correction or anything in between!

Gus and his wife were absolutely amazing! Gus worked with my English cream golden retriever Bella to teach her obedience skills as well as social interaction. At seven months old, she was sweet and smart but would jump up on people when she was excited—she also didn’t have the skills to heel, sit, lay down or stay, so it was harder to interact with her. Gus transformed her! Not only did she learn all the skills I needed her to have, but you could tell she had a wonderful time at his facility that month. She was still her sweet, smart self but much more manageable. Gus did a great job training me on how to work with her as well. A well-trained dog is a total joy to be around, and I’ll never regret sending Bella to K9 Concepts. Hands-down the best!
