I am so grateful for the hard work and diligence that Gus puts into his craft. Our Rottweiler, Bear, who is 1 1/2 years old spent a month with Gus and learned the basic obedience training. We have a one year old son at home who will ultimately be who Bear is for. We were having difficulties at home juggling a puppy, an infant and full time work, we were on the verge of having to re-home Bear and then we found Gus. Gus did such an amazing job at teaching Bear patience, calmness and obedience that we can now take him anywhere and have him in our house without having to constantly reprimand him. I feel confident when our son is of age he can easily be Bears handler. You can tell Gus truly cares for the dogs he’s training because our boy came back a happy well behaved pup. Gus also teaches you how to handle the dog properly so their training always stays in tact and even offers refresher lessons if needed to make sure the dog is always up to snuff. 10/10 recommend K9 concepts for any of your training needs!

My 6 month old German Shepherd Mable went down for a 30 day stay for basic obedience and environmental socialization training. Gus delivered the results I was hoping to achieve. She has learned all of her basic commands and is not distracted by anything. She stays focused on me. I work with her daily, applying the training that Gus trained me to do as her handler. It has been a week since I picked her up and she is very focused. Gus gives you the skills to continue her training once you get back home. Taking her out in public has been a pleasure and she received many compliments on her excellent behavior. Beyond grateful for the amazing work Gus has done working with our dog Bonnie. I had such a hard time training Bonnie getting her to walk on a leash and listen. Dropping her off I expected to be a mess and so upset however that was not the case. Gus showed us just what 5 minutes of training with him looked like and bonnie already showed tremendous growth. I left in happy tears so excited for her knowing this is what’s best for not only her but me. Picking her up I was so excited to see my same old excited pup but trained. I cannot only walk her without having my arm pulled out but she pays attention to me and listens. we were so thrilled with the training and the way Gus cared and worked with our dog we plan to do more of his trainings right away! Beyond the training Gus is so nice and understanding of the dogs and their owners! Professional training by someone with 40+ years of experience is hard to put a price on it!

We brought our dog Luna to K9 Concepts for obedience and socialization training, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. From the moment she came home, the difference in her behavior was incredible — calm, confident, and so well-mannered. From before Maximus was born to now, I spent time researching breeders until I found one i really felt comfortably with and likewise trainers. Monica Wilson pointed me in the right direction on both fronts as she had experience with them both. I could never have asked for or imagined getting such a good and smart dog, but Maximus has surpassed anything I could have ever hoped for. And now after 2 different times and types of 2-week training with Gus Navarro Maximus has really come into his own to realize his full potential. I could not be happier or more impressed with Gus. I get asked often why I drove 2 hours to get my dog trained. Simple answer, he’s that good and worth the drive, money, etc. He kept me updated on Maximus’ progress while he was with him. I completely trust Gus and he has my highest recommendation for anyone considering trainers. You will not be disappointed and you will be amazed. We plan on seeing Gus as often as possible as we could tell Maximus loved Gus and will miss him.
