K.O. Dog Training

I had the pleasure of working directly with Michelle. She was absolutely amazing with Cooper and our situation. Cooper is my service dog and at the time we wanted to take steps to further ensure we had sufficient documentation for our international travel(s). In addition to the documentation, Michelle was able to further evaluate and certify Cooper for the AKC CGC test. Anyone who is in need of service dog evaluation and training, Michelle and Philip come highly recommended!

This is a review after completing the training with K.O. Dog Training several months ago and the process works! Our 12 year old lab went from being a very playful dog to being a bit more aggressive with other dogs. Our peaceful walks in the neighborhood were becoming more challenging as he was barking and lunging at any dog that was in the area. We had never used formal training but agreed we could use professional guidance and found K.O. based on previous reviews. K.O. operates out of a private fenced in yard and introduces other dogs from "the pack" into the training. Philip and Michelle identified issues (with the dog owner as well) and simple techniques to correct behavior. We had homework after each of our 6 sessions and we saw incremental improvements as we incorporated their recommendations into our daily routine. It's been 4 months since we completed our training and I'm happy to say we have seen a significant improvement in his behavior and our understanding of his issues. We are grateful to have found Philip and Michelle at K.O. and for helping our dog be the best he can be.

Phillip & Michelle are absolutely incredible dog trainers and they know exactly what they are doing. My husband and I brought our year and a half year old rescue to them who had pretty bad leash reactivity issues and aggression with his food/high value treats. They quickly identified what needed to be addressed and worked on within his training plan. We also discussed the really loved the hands on training and how they gave us homework with what we should be working on outside of training with our dog to help improve the issues we were having. Each session we noticed huge improvements in his behavior and now he is focused on my husband or I rather than every other dog that comes near him. If you are considering KO dog training - this is your sign to just do it! You won’t regret this decision!

I rescued my dog during COVID when she was less than eleven weeks old. She was returned once from a family with three young children which I believe she was mis-handled and was traumatized by the young children. She had some serious leash aggression, socialization issues and time to time she can be very unpredictable. I tried couple of dog trainers when she was sixteen weeks old and continuously getting her trained to a point, I felt no one was able to help me. My dog now over three years old, I honestly felt I had no chance to getting my dog trained properly... until I found Philip and Michelle at K.O. Dog Training. At the initial meeting, I felt so bad because my dog bit both Philip and Michelle while doing the assessment...at the end of the meeting, I have already noticed the difference in my dog's behavior and she was smart enough to learn to obey and listen to Philip and Michelle! After six sessions, my dog has become an obedient and submissive to my command. I feel much confident with her now that we had the training with K.O. Thank you Philip and Michelle for your help and I am a happier mom with my pup!!

We apoted a dog beginning of this year with behaviors (anxiety). She was found in the streets of Indio California and was placed in four foster homes until she came to us. KO dog training was suggested to us. We did their six week obedience course and have seen such a change in our girl. Been working with her on the tips given and she is improving daily. She has become a sweet, loving, and obedient dog. We plan on continuing her training with them and some day hope to have her trained as my service dog. Phil & Michele are passionate about what they do and it shows in their trainings. So pleased to have met them both.
