K9 Defense is absolutely outstanding! My dog Oliver just came home from training and the transformation is unreal! He is calmer, obedient, and carries himself with so much more confidence. Overall the whole team is patient, knowledgeable, and committed to making sure both dogs and owners succeed. Savannah is not only an incredible trainer, but also has been coming to my home to work with me and my family. She goes above and beyond every single time, making sure we fully understand the training and feel supported. Her patience, kindness, dedication and passion shine through in everything she does. If you want to see a total positive transformation in your dog and to work with trainers who genuinely care, K9 Defense is as good as it gets!

We are so impressed with the K-9 Defense team and Savanna. When we brought our puppy Oliver in, he was a stubborn dog who ignored commands, would almost yank your arm off on walks, and was constantly trying to chase our uninterested cats to play. Seeing him for the first time since his board was like meeting a whole new dog! He walked in the room with so much focus and confidence. We can really tell how much trust he has and how comfortable he is with his trainer, Savanna. She is such a great trainer who truly cares for your pup and wants both you and your pet to succeed. He is now so receptive and listens to all our commands, and his loose leash walking is seriously impressive considering how bad of an issue that was prior. We are so so so happy that we found k-9 defense and we cannot recommend them enough!!! Thank you guys so much, and if anyone is considering using this place for training, trust all of these amazing reviews and trust us that it is so worth it!

K9 Defense has changed our lives with our pup. We struggled a lot with our Belgian and his reactivity towards people walking in our homes, his reactivity to other dogs, and he just grew a habit of constantly testing us. We wanted to help him and help us and create a comfortable environment in our home for not only our family but for any of our friends or other family who wanted to come over and K9 Defense helped us do just that. Since we’ve had him home, his confidence has improved by a lot but his personality is still the exact same which is everything I’ve wanted for him. We just had our daughter’s first birthday this past weekend and he was incredible. He wasn’t trying to rush to the door, he was barking like crazy when people walked in, he didn’t pay much attention to anything or anyone besides his usual tail wag and ears down for excitement. We would not of been able to do that before and it was definitely a proud moment to say the least. Their communication throughout this entire process is amazing, from the day we had our consultation with Chris he explained the process with everything, what their concerns and plan was with Kai and I knew I wanted to go through with the program. The check-ins after the training have been super helpful. Savannah has been amazing. She answers any question I have, no matter how ridiculous it may sound and she explains everything in great detail. She has been the biggest help and kai lights up when he sees her which says everything for me! Truly a wonderful team here at K9 Defense, I couldn’t recommend them more. Any breed, any issue, they are the people to go to!

My husband and I got a 9 week old belgian malinois (Luna) that was very nervous and reactive from the very beginning. We wanted her to be a good family dog, that would be gentle with our grand children, but a dog we could also enjoy while hunting and camping etc.. we knew we needed help. I began looking for trainers and saw immediately that k9 defense had an excellent reputation. Chris responded very quickly to my inquiry. At 12 weeks old, Luna spent 1 month with k9 defense learning confidence and simple commands. Upon coming home, she had obviously learned a lot but was exhibiting behavior at home that she did not while in training such as people and dog reactivity and extreme anxiety in her kennel. She would cry 8 hours at night. I reached out for help and trainer Wes took her to his home for 2 weeks to trouble shoot the kennel behavior. Now at 9 months, Luna just returned from another 3 week stay with k9 defense for more advanced command training and continued obedience. Mallory has been our primary trainer and she is absolutely amazing. We have needed just as much (or more) training than Luna and she is always patient, calm, and honest in her feedback. Luna is a completely different dog. She is much more calm and pays attention to the direction she is given. She is peaceful in her kennel. I literally cannot say enough good things. As we continue to grow in our relationship with Luna, we know that we have an attentive and knowledgeable support system that is just a message away. Thank you!!

7/14/25: Update: Bella continues to make progress, welcoming visitors in our home and visiting friends on road trips. Many people say she can’t be the same dog LOL as she is quite a sweet houseguest! We continue to run together daily without any inappropriate reactions… she has completed her Novice Rally title and continues to participate in Rally classes off leash without incident. Most recently she traveled across 4 states in a car with my friend and her dog.. they got along fine and even snoozed on the floor on her house next to one another. I credit all that we learned from Wes and the other trainers; using the engagement strategies is part of our daily routine and play time together. I am considering adopting another pup soon… that would not even cross my mind without the knowledge that I have from our work with Wes and his team. Lifeline gratitude to you all!!!! Shelley and Bella My dog Bella and I just finished our second Engagement class with K9defense instructors in collaboration with Brenda Dryer of Foothills Canine Academy. After ten weeks together, I cannot praise this team of dog trainers highly enough. The K9 staff has an amazing ability to observe and interact with each handler/dog pair in a very personalized manner, individualizing the strategies and techniques to meet each dogs needs, while providing a model that handlers can easily incorporate into their daily training. I have seen tremendous progress in my girl Bella over the past weeks, and I look forward to working more with Wes, Connor, Mallory and George. Thank you all for helping me help my dog!
