JPK9 Academy

We came to Juan for help training our Golden Retriever puppy and our 7 year old Shepard Mix. In just 1 training session we saw a difference in both of our dogs. Juan gave us the knowledge and tools we needed to work with our dogs so that we could continue the good progress we saw during the sessions on our own. His style of training is effective because he is realistic about your goals with your dog and starts the initial training by setting expectations for behavior through positive reinforcement. We also really appreciate the group classes that are offered in addition to private training. It is really helpful with socialization with other dogs and exposure to different people. We definitely recommend JPK9 for anyone looking to train a puppy or an older dog!

Finding Juan with JPK9 Academy was one of the best things that could have happened. I adopted my dog, Maple, in August 2021. I thought she was the sweetest little girl I had ever met! About a month after I got her, she started becoming aggressive towards anyone outside of my immediate family and anyone who entered my house. I quickly realised that she had some major trust issues. After speaking and meeting with a couple other dog trainers I knew the best thing that I could do for her, and my family, was to find a trainer that could board and train a dog with aggressive behaviours. I did a lot of research online trying to find the perfect trainer for Maple. That’s when I came across Juan. Within a week I spoke with him on the phone and he came out to meet my family and Maple. My husband and I really liked the way we saw how Juan handled her immediately and we liked his style. We hired him and Maple went with him for 5 weeks. She is a completely different dog now! If it weren’t for us taking this step, Maple would have had to go back to the rescue we got her from. I don’t think my heart could have handled that! So I thank Juan and everyone from JPK9 Academy for making this possible!! I highly HIGHLY recommend them for any or all of your training needs! Best thing now, I still get to be a part of group classes with JPK9 AND enjoy having my sweet loveable Maple!! 💕💕

My husband and I recently rescued a small dog with really big problems. We were ready to give her back when we found Juan. He for sure is a dog whisperer but more importantly a people person who settled us down and made us realize not only did our dog have problems listening, but we had problems trying to correctly help our dog. He is a great trainer and we are so glad we found him. Thank you Juan for your patience with us and helping us help our dog.
