Jaybird Dog Training

I truly can’t believe the difference Shea's training has made — and wish we had reached out sooner. It took one session for our older dog to understand, and only two sessions for our younger (very energetic!) one to catch on. Now, neither of them jump when someone walks through the door — which honestly feels like a miracle. They still get excited and crowd the door a bit, but that’s completely manageable and so much better than before. We are beyond grateful for the help and the results. Highly recommend!

Bringing our dog, Juice, to Shea for a 2 week board and train was the best decision we have as dog owners. We rescued Juice from a shelter Thanksgiving-eve and believed he was the perfect dog, and in many ways he is. It was not until we had a group of visitors over that we discovered he has some aggression issues that needed addressed as early as possible. We called up Shea and told him our story - right away he presented us with options that made us feel the issue had a solution. We decided to send juice to a 2-week board & train at Jaybird Dog Training while we spent some time out of town. During those 2 weeks we received updates from Shea and felt Juice was in great hands. When we picked juice up after 2 weeks was up, my partner and I sat down with Shea to discuss what was done in training and what training would look like back at home. After 30+ minutes of chatting, we were able to see Juice and immediately noticed his improved obedience and self regulation when put in uncomfortable situations. We knew that 2 weeks was not enough time to completely change our dog, but we did see results that have continued since being home. It has been 2 weeks since juice has been home and we have been able to take him in public and meet new people (in small doses) with the skills and empowerment we gained from working with Shea. Juice still has a long way to go before we can leave him out during a party at our home, but we do feel like with continuous effort, he will be able to join us during our friends and family gatherings down the line. We can not thank Shae enough for the confidence he has given us to keep going when we felt the was no way forward and would HIGHLY recommend him to any dog owners looking for individual or long term training options.

I am extremely thankful to Shea for everything he did for me and my dog. My dog was showing signs of aggression towards my family and I was constantly on edge when he would be around them. Trusting Shea with my dog was the best decision I could have made. Not only did Shea help my dog, but he taught me so much as well! He is realistic and reasonable with his training approach. Everything he taught me about dogs just made sense. Now my relationship with my dog is better than ever and I have had no aggression issues with him since. If you’re having trouble of any kind with your dog, you can do no better than to ask Shea for help!
