Jax Dog Drop Riverdog

I want to preface this review by stating this is not about Jax Dog Drop Riverdog directly, but about a program I just completed within their facility. In regards to the facility, I will say it is kinda small. It seems to be very busy. But I didn’t really have much more experience than that outside of the training room. I’m rating 5 stars solely due to my experience working with Keiko Swanberg and her assistant Caroline! I hope I spelled that correctly. Anyways, I recently wrapped up the Ultimate Puppy 6 week training program with my pup. I can honestly say I am so grateful for the past several weeks. This duo was great. I came in for my 3 month old Mini Bernedoodle puppy who I believe is very intelligent and can honestly get a little wild sometimes. Through this training, I was able to enhance her quality of life. We learned how the simplest and smallest of introductions make such a huge difference in how the pups perceive this new world. Not only was my pup engaged and stimulated the entire time, but this training also led to a deepened bond with my dog. I can tell she trusts me and more importantly I can tell she is confident in herself as a puppy. I really appreciated the smaller class size also. I think we only had about 5 other pups and owners in our classes with us. Each week we focused on different techniques learning and practicing desensitization, loose leash walking, cue words, mat work, mental stimulation and much more. We ended every session with off leash play for a few minutes. This duo was attentive, knowledgeable, accessible and very clearly educated and professional. I would highly recommend these courses. Rainier and I are beyond grateful!

DO NOT USE. We had very good experiences with Jax until our dog came out of daycare unable to walk straight and seeming completely disoriented. We were told this had been going on since 2:30 that day, but no one called us, and I did not find out until 5:45 when I picked him up, which was too late to take him to our regular vet and required me to take him to the emergency room. The vet concluded that he had ingested something toxic while at daycare. When brought to the attention of Jax, they completely shut us down, told us that nothing could possibly have happened, and refused our request for reimbursement. There was absolutely no empathy or accountability, and they only appeared eager to shield themselves from liability. When we tried to follow-up, they screened our phone number and would not even answer our calls. A very disappointing end to what had been a good relationship. Please use care if considering them as a daycare option.

KEEP YOUR DOG OUT OF THIS PLACE, ESPECIALLY PUPPIES. I should have left this review months ago but seeing that my dog STILL has lingering issues from this situation 6 months later has made me extra angry. I scheduled my 5 month old French Bulldog to visit here for about 10 days overnight boarding in June 2024 while I go on a remote trip. It was last minute as the dates got delayed and I couldn't schedule at the normal Jax daycare that I went to in Redmond. I dropped her off no problem, with all provided food, instructions, toys, housing / blankets, and instructions on how to do everything at all times of day. They also mentioned that they take the dogs "off campus" for slumber parties at the staff personal house. I agreed to this as they made it seem so normal and I was a little hesitant at first but they convinced me that it was normal procedure and 90% of the dogs go. It was my first time having a dog that went to overnight boarding. 2 days into the boarding. They call saying she injured her leg while playing. I asked how did she get hurt, and all they said was she was jumping and landed wrong. I asked for video evidence of the incident and they didn't provide saying that the area was unmonitored at the time. Till this day I still don't know where she was at the time of incident, but I had to return home early from my work trip, cancel my work trip, and pick her up later that day. I took her to the vet right after leaving due to an available open slot and they called back the next day explaining that my dog had a salter harris type 1 fracture and would require surgery to fully recover her leg. I had to drop $6000 on surgery and her entire summer and puppy months was ruined due to having to recover for 12 weeks limited activity. What's even crazy is that as soon as I picked her up from daycare, they Jax Riverdog asked me if would she be coming back or staying with me. I told them she won't be returning. As soon as I got home, my account was already charged for her stay. Weeks later,,THEY DIDN'T EVEN CALL BACK TO FOLLOW UP ON HER STATUS OR HOW SHE WAS DOING. You hurt my dog and don't even care to ask how she's doing??Did you purposely try to injure my dog? But yall were quick to charge my account though, right? It's all about money at this place. THIS PLACE IS VERY NEGLIGENT OF YOUR DOG, AND THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT YOUR MONEY AND MAKING SURE YOUR DOG LEAVES OUT OF THERE ALIVE. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR LIVING CONDITIONS OR HEALTH, AND MY EXAMPLE IS A PRIME ONE OF HOW THEY LITERALLY DON'T CARE AS THEY HAVEN'T CHECKED ON MY DOG STILL AFTER 6 MONTHS. THEY JUST INJURED MY DOG, TOOK MY MONEY, AND MOVED ON WITH LIFE WHILE I DEAL WITH SURGERY, REHAB, AND A DOG WITH A RUINED PUPPY CHILDHOOD. IF YOU HAVE A PUPPY, PLEASE DO NOT BRING THEM HERE. YOUR PUPPIES ARE TOO VULNERABLE, AND THEY WOULD ALLOW BIG AND SMALL DOGS TOGETHER, NO MATTER HOW MUCH THEY SAY THEY'LL STAY SEPARATED, IT'S A LIE. BIGGER DOGS TEND TO BE OK HERE BECAUSE THEY TEND TO DOMINANT AND ARE ALREADY GROWN SO THEIR JOINTS AND BODY ARE STRONGER. If you have a puppy, DO NOT bring them here. I'm leaving this review here because I want people to know that and use this this to really consider their options when sending their dog for boarding, or even regular daycare. And you know what's even sad, Jax will try to reply to this review saying that they're "sorry for incident, we strive to take care of all dogs and give them the best experience". It's NOT authentic and just a way to make them seem like they do what they need to do. At the end of the day, the choice is yours and I hope you make the right decision and consider this before sending your dog to Jax.
