First and foremost Jamie was professional and at the same time very personable! Jamie arranged a pre training session phone call with me to gather information on what I was looking for as far as training for our dog Nettie. With the information I shared with her on the phone and from the application she sent me to complete, Jamie put together a behavior and homework plan . When Jamie arrived at our home she was prepared with the plans and doggie training “tools” that she used to interact with us and Nettie. Jamie is a world book of knowledge. We did appreciate that she is a “hands on” trainer! We would highly recommend her!!

I love that Jamie came to our home to work with us rather than having us come to her, it felt much more comfortable that way. We worked on challenges that we have inside our home with a new young dog with lots of energy. She had great advice on how to work with him on our walks to reduce his reactivity. It is a work in progress but he has been doing so much better and listens and looks at me when I give him a command when he starts to react to something. She uses no fear methods and no negativity, just positive reinforcement which is perfect! She also gave us great ideas for activities that will work his mind. Both of our dogs LOVE to do their busy box activity, they get so excited when I pull out the boxes. Jamie keeps in touch and gives feedback and additional suggestions when I give her updates on our progress. I couldn't have found a better trainer to help us, I highly recommend her!

I never thought I'd have to hire a dog behaviorist, but it turns out even a savvy dog person sometimes needs outside help. Jamie did not disappoint. Her work with us proved that a fresh perspective can make a real difference. We approached Jamie because my 16-month-old female Husky mix rescue, Banga, is extremely reactive to seeing other dogs. She also displays aggressive behavior with guests in the home, and sometimes even lashes out at our 4-month-old puppy, Mina. Though Banga hasn’t bitten anyone, I knew I needed immediate help. She provided ample resources and has been great about following up. Most importantly, I’ve been seeing real, positive changes in Banga using Jamie’s fear-free, consent-based behavior program. This isn’t just obedience training the way we often used to think of it. It’s about understanding your dog and working with them through their fears and anxieties to build a more harmonious relationship and a happier dog. We’ve still got work to do, but now I feel like I have a map and a real shot at long-term success. I cannot recommend Jamie highly enough. If you’re on the fence, hire her.
