Indy K-9

Our mini bernedoodle Nora did the two week board and train program with Jon. We were very impressed with his facilities - everything was clean, each dog had a large kennel, and he had an acre of fenced in yard for the dogs to run. We also appreciated how Jon kept us updated about Nora's progress daily through texts and photos as well as an occasional phone call. Upon pick up, he also spent quite a bit of time teaching us how to continue the training at home, and thoroughly answered all of our questions. While Nora had a decent understanding of basic commands, her obedience was inconsistent and highly motivated by treats. Jon uses gentle correction in addition to positive praise, and we have already noticed a difference in Nora's behavior both in the house and on walks. She is listening without needing treats all the time! Not only did her behavior change, but we felt that she was well cared for while at Jon's home. We plan to use him for boarding in the future!

Wow! We sent our two year old pitbull mix that we rescued to John for two weeks of training. When we got him back he was still the same sweet dog with much better manners. I really appreciated all of the calls and pictures that John sent while our puppy was gone. It was also really awesome to hear how knowledgeable John was on dog breeds and how important it is to really know what your dog was “made” to do. I highly recommend Indy k9 to anyone who’s looking to train their dog and help them have better habits!

We loved Indy K-9! If you are looking for help with your dogs, stop looking and train your dogs with Jon. We have two miniature bernadoodles and we struggled with their constant excitement and lack of obedience. We did a two week training with Jon and can’t compliment his methods enough. He provided us updates everyday and taught our dogs how to be in their crate without whining, down stay, place, loose leash walking, e-collar training, and so much more! We can now enjoy our dogs. We are a week out and Jon continues to check in with us everyday. He answers quickly and provides us with the information we need to continue our training with the dogs. My only wish is that we would have used K-9 sooner!

We have an Australian Shepherd. She is deaf and her eyesight is not good. She was a wild child and i just couldn't train her. She stayed 4 weeks at Indy K-9 and she's a different dog. My husband and I both worked with her after we arrived home. It was great! She is relaxed and doesn't tug on her leash. She sits when i stop. She stays when I tell her the command. Even one day home she has been wonderful. I am so pleased and would recommend Indy K-9 to anyone who wants their dog trained.
