Indy K-9

We just picked up our 11 mo Great Dane after completing the 2 week course with Jon, and she’s a changed dog! I called K-9 a few months back, deciding “enough was enough” after yet another terrible walk with her. We’ve owned a lot of dogs, and we recognized that she needed some extra training that we clearly weren’t providing. We were looking to be able to walk her in our neighborhood, with all the distractions that brings, answer the door without her jumping on people, and stay calm around our cat, who has been hiding in the basement. I can say that just two days after bringing her home and working on all the things we learned, has led to all of us being much happier, including our cat! I think my four year old niece could walk her, she’s that much calmer. Best investment!

Our goldendoodle, Hazel, spent two weeks with Indy K-9 for training, and we had a great experience. Jon was very responsive to our messages while Hazel was away at training and spent time with us for one on one training at the end of the two weeks. We felt very comfortable with her being away knowing that she was in good hands. Jon was very professional and knowledgeable, and we can already tell that Hazel learned a lot while she was there.

We took our just over 1 year old GSD to Jon for the two week training for obedience. Although we missed our boy, we knew he was in good hands. We had our pick up and one on one training today and we could tell our pup was a better listener, groomed, and more comfortable and confident while we practiced his new commands. Jon has a wealth of knowledge and was amazing and patient with us and our dog. Our dog now knows all the basic commands and walks beautifully on a leash. We are no longer fighting for his attention or control and are excited to keep up the great work Jon has started for us!

I cannot sing the praises of Indy K-9 enough. With COVID, I’ve been working and going to school remotely. We love our pup but had to replace many blinds due to his reactivity and it became a little embarrassing having to get up during Zoom meetings to wrangle him. Johnathan worked WONDERS. After 5 weeks, Yota came home the same goober but with manners and obedience. Johnathan was attentive, gave me many updates on our pup, and was clear and honest about the entire process. Yota came home with all the tools he needed to continue to succeed. Johnathan also did a great job of sitting us down for the private training to make sure we would have the tools to continue the training. Any dog we get in the future will be trained by Indy K-9!!
