Imprinted Paws

Our golden doodle completed a 2-week board and train program at Imprinted Paws two years ago. He was a calm, well-behaved dog, but since then, his behavior started changing. I believe it was after an incident at another boarding place. He started not liking larger dogs and he became very aggressive towards them. He also was unpredictable around people and would bark and jump uncontrollably when someone came to our door. Walking him when he saw squirrels, trucks or large dogs was a chore with the amount of pulling and barking. I circled back to Val to see if there was any hope of changing these behaviors. Within only 9 days boarding at Imprinted Paws for a second time, our dog became an obedient, calmer pet again. Kelsey delivered him to our home (almost an hour away) and spent another hour with our entire family refreshing us on his training and helping us understand how to maintain that consistency with him. She even went outside with our kids and had them practice walking him. Our dog now walks right beside us with no pulling, even with distractions. That has been a godsend this winter with all the ice outside! The mailman or UPS driver can now walk up to our door without vicious barking and scratching at the door. It has been life changing. Thank you to Val for strongly believing our dog's behavior could improve and reminding him how to be a much more pleasant companion!

Let me tell you about how grateful I am for Valarie and the team at Imprinted Paws!!! They have literally made my home a happier place to live! They have worked with my pit bull girl twice and my puppy bully boy once. Before them, I could not have all three of my dogs in one room without mayhem insuing. Now, we're all able to have some peace. The team has had my pups two times and we're going back for a third board and train in a few weeks! Valerie was seriously the best dog expert I’ve ever had! She worked with my dog who was put in a bad situation and was facing the courts which were trying to deem him vicious. She did multiple tests on duke and provided so much evidence and he won his case. Regardless, I trusted her with dukes life and I’m so grateful we came upon her! Thank you so much. Anyone who needs help with their pet, trust me it’s worth it! We drove about two hours to see her! She’s very professional but cares too!
