Impetus Animal Training

Pet Partners of Las Vegas / Love Dog Adventures is the Nevada affiliate of the international Pet Partners’ animal assisted intervention program. We value the human-animal bond above all else. We refer our potential therapy teams to ImPETus Training Center because their philosophies are so in line with ours. Their method of teaching is professional, positive, fun and results-oriented. This is why we chose ImPETus as our training partner and have enjoyed such a rewarding collaboration. From hosting our New Team Orientations at their Center to observing classes, every interaction has been positive and showcases their dedication to enhancing the relationship between dog and owner. We were so impressed with the way they set up the space for training and the time each trainer takes with her clients to understand how they and their pet learn best. The broad range of classes they offer, including Nose Work and Tricks, has something for everyone to experience in a clean, safe and thoroughly positive environment. Their classes have been the perfect entry for our future therapy teams to become well socialized and well mannered and have the basics under their belt in preparation for therapy work. We have also referred several clients to ImPETus for their CGC and Puppy classes and brought my own pup to their FUNdamentals community class. Their trainers are patient, knowledgeable, joyful and encouraging and this is the ONLY training facility we recommend whether your goal is to become a Pet Partners therapy team or just want the most rewarding relationship with your pet.

I have been training my dogs with Impetus even before the studio was built. Veronica Selco is my mentor and I have had the pleasure of training several of my dogs with her guidance. The positive reinforcement approach to obedience , CGC classes, K9 nosework and trick classes is the professional way to train. The other trainers are young smart and well versed in all types of dog training. Since not all dogs are the same the trainers are able to adapt the training to suit the behavior of different dogs. The studio is clean and has all the right tools for successful and fun training. Veronica and her team make classes that I look forward to attending for years to come.

I absolutely love Veronica and her team of trainers; Kylie and Vivian. They are all highly skilled and practice no force training, which is great. Positive reinforcement is the way to go. They offer a wide variety of classes and also specialize in nosework. Veronica hosts trials and people come from all different states to compete. If you are looking to train your dog and let them have FUN doing so, imPETus training is the way to go. I highly recommend Veronica and her team. NOTE: Oh, and my furry son LOVE their nosework and fitness classes. And he is a picky little boy, he is-King Von Nugget, and he recommends them too!
