He's displayed low self-confidence in the month's that I've had him, and I wanted to help him, so I started working with Impactful Canine. Rick was so very kind to Brembo, and consistently displayed patience as my pup was scared of new things. Brem has come a super long way since we started our training, and while he's a slow learner, I now have faith that he is teachable, it'll just take a lot longer than I'm used to. Thank you to Rick for giving me hope that my dog will be able to go out and about with me places, and for guiding me through the tools and resources that I can utilize to help continue his training between our sessions.

Even from the evaluation we did before starting, I learned so much from him and continued to learn more throughout our training sessions. He has so much knowledge about dogs and their behaviors. He definitely speaks dog! He provides individualized training based on your needs. He constantly checked in throughout our training and tweaked what we were doing if I needed something else. Vega loved to come to training each week and I feel like training together made us closer. I can see a huge difference in her behaviors from when we first started. If you are searching for an amazing dog trainer, I highly recommend reaching out to Rick. Both you and your dog will learn so much!

I cannot recommend Rick enough!! Birdie was a shelter pup who never had much life experience before adoption. She was impulsive, distracted, and didn't know how to process her emotions. We had issues with impulse control, being reactive to other dogs, and much more.
Rick was able to explain why she was reacting certain ways and how to fix them. He breaks it down in a way that you can understand. He does not offer cookie cutter lessons - he offers individual, personalized training tailored to your specific dog. If one thing doesn't work, he has something else that will. I have learned so much about canine behavior and how to help Birdie.
On top of all that, he helps you grow your bond with your pup. Since starting with Rick, Birdie is able to go off leash on the farm with me. I have even been able to call her off deer and other dogs - something that I never would have guessed was possible. We still have a long way to go, but the improvement has been astronomical.
Rick is a trainer that is continuously learning and studying to get better at something he is great at. That is not something that you see often. If you want assistance with behavior modification, obedience, or anything in between, Rick is your guy.

Rick has helped our Anni girl gain so much confidence. She use to be hard to control on walks and would react to everything. With the right tools and knowledge, we are able to go on walks and take her in public without worrying about her. Anni instantly responded to Rick and his methods. Rick holds handlers accountable in the best way possible, ensuring that we are actively learning and practicing, not just going through the motions. He provides constructive feedback, making sure we understand not only what to do but why it works.
I’ve taken other training classes in the past, but nothing has compared to this. The level of instruction and focus on the handler’s role in training make all the difference. Rick’s methods are practical, effective, and designed for long-term success, not just quick fixes.
