Ilio Canine Care

After working with three different trainers in the past, I was hesitant to try a fourth, but I’m so glad I did! James was recommended by my dog, Tucker’s, vet because of Tucker’s anxiety and because he would bark/chase/nip at my husband any time he moved. I didn’t even care if Tucker and my husband were friends. I just wanted them to both safely live in the same house. Not only are they both living together with no problems now, but they are friends! Tucker was also very reactive to other dogs, which is the main thing the previous three trainers were hired to help with, but I never saw any progress until working with James. He even brought his dog, Dinah, to help us and she helped so much. I just got back from the park with Tucker and he did great! No lunging at other dogs. This is all thanks to James. With his help, the vet even decided to take Tucker off of some of the anxiety medication he was taking because he doesn’t need it anymore. I would definitely recommend James/Ilio Canine Care to anyone in need of a dog trainer! You can tell that he really understands and cares about the dogs he is helping and he has improved mine, my husband’s and Tucker’s life by helping us to all live happily together.

James was so helpful with both my dogs! I was over my head having just rescued a 1 year old puppy with paralyzed back legs and my older greyhound going though chemo. James was wonderful working with my dog's disabilities and anxieties. He helped me learn how to make my greyhound more calm and comfortable and how to work with my rescue to get her the mental and physical exercise she needs despite her fearfulness. I highly recommend him!
