Idyllic Canine Training

I can't recommend Idyllic Canine Training enough. We have a mini Australian shepherd puppy who is full of energy, highly intelligent, and also very anxious. True to his herding dog nature, we were struggling with his nipping and aggressive herding behavior towards our family, particularly our younger son. We began working with Megan on behavior modification, obedience training, confidence building, and healthy interaction with the kids. Megan truly has a gift when it comes to working with dogs and understanding their nature. Much of the training was teaching our family how to positivity communicate with our dog and manage his behaviors. We started with in home training but ended up enrolling him in the Lodge and Learn program where he stayed with Megan and she was able to do more intensive training. During this period, he completed off leash training, self control and further obedience training. When he came home, Megan continued to work with our family to ensure an easy transition and continuity of training. Our dog absolutely adores Megan and is still thrilled to see her...she does not use fear tactics or try to break a dog's spirit like some other trainers. We are so grateful to her for giving us the dog we always wanted- one who travels with us, behaves in restaurants, and most importantly has a very loving bond with our entire family. Idyllic Canine Training is simply the best!!

Megan is seriously a lifesaver. She had my dogs exercising, playing with other dogs, cats, pulling her on a bike! I couldn’t believe my pups were capable of all of that. She is the ONLY person I trust with my boys. I am very nervous about leaving them and one of my boys, Bentley is extremely anxious as well but he loves Megan! He is fearful/reactive after getting attacked by a dog in our complex and Megan has helped him to coexist with other dogs safely and comfortably. She is seriously the best!!!

We put our 4 month old puppy in Meghan’s care for three weeks and she came back a changed puppy. Under Meghan’s guidance she learned to stop at the door and wait for permission to enter and leave. She learned to walk properly by our side, and to return to her crate or “place” on command. What a transformation! Megan has a gift and she is absolutely dedicated to her craft.
