Which training plan is more effective?
Both training plans are very effective; it all just depends on how involved in the training you would like to be. Private training you’re involved in the entire training process and day training we take care of most of the training process for you. Then at pick up we will show you what we have done.

How old does my dog have to be to start training?
We can start in home Private dog training at anytime. If you wanted to do any in facility training with your pup. They must be at least 4 months of age!

What training methods do you use?
We are balanced trainers so we use all four quadrants of Operant Conditioning (positive reinforcement, positive punishment, negative reinforcement, and negative punishment.) and Classical Conditioning (a process that involves creating an association between a naturally existing stimulus and a previously neutral one). We start with the least invasive methods and only go more invasive as needed and with owner approval.

Robert is an incredible person and trainer. He has a gift when it comes to dog training. I took my corgi to Robert because she was being aggressive to the other dog and just a radical. Robert is an incredible person and trainer. He has a gift when it comes to dog training. I took my corgi to Robert because she was being aggressive to the other dog and just a radical. Even after one lesson I could see a huge improvement in her demeanor. Robert is truly a miracle worker. She know behaves, listens to commands and gets along with other dogs. Robert is the animal whisperer. Absolutely the only person to have anyone take their animal to!
The Idaho K9 Academy was great! We weren't able to take our dog in when Robert was working, however McKayla and Allison both filled in on her training days and did a wonderful job. Overall, it was a great experience for us and our dog and we highly recommend!
I am giving this business, IDAHO, canine Academy, a five star review, because when I went to their website to find out information regarding Service animal training… It has everything you need to know! I didn’t even have to call to find out anything because it was all listed right there, which is great. I will update this review when and or if I choose to get the assistance that I was looking at.
Robert was amazing with our spoiled rotten Tillie. She has done so much better with coming and staying in place. We appreciated his patience and kindness. We would definately recommend Robert at K9 Academy
