Idaho Elite K-9

My dogs, Champ and Buck, have become so much better behaved than they once were. Idaho Elite K-9 has helped improve our lives. I can now take them to places together without the frustration and pain of them pulling me in every direction or having to take them individually . I no longer have to tie them up while camping just so they don’t take off or get into something they shouldn’t. I have learned so much from Chris and he has been willing to work with any issue any of my dogs have. Buck and his food motivation; Champ and his neediness or reactive behavior. This training has been worth every penny and any future dog I may own will be trained with Idaho Elite K-9!

I feel like you must know our story behind this review, to shed some extra light! We brought our 2 American Bullies to Chris, after months of absolutely no hope. We had 2 females that could not even be in the same room together. A fight broke out one day and it was game over from that day on. We exhausted all efforts, and nothing was helping. We had to always keep the females 110% apart- for over 6 months at the time. These were not your typical dog fights, it was severe injuries to both dogs, and us on every accidental encounter. This left us with the worst option possible in our book, was to re-home one. Luckily, that never panned out! So, we took a huge leap of faith (at this point we had zero hope) and we hired Chris! First off- from the very first inquiry Chris was so easy to communicate with- we explained our situation and all the details. We were not sure what package we would need for our situation, or how many sessions. Chris was so helpful breaking this down for us, and their website made it a breeze! Also, his wife Rachel that manages scheduling, is a absolute delight to work with! On day one of training- Chris had us bring them in one at a time, and it was WILD. They were losing their minds over each other! Chris explained things SO well and broke down everything for us- and it just clicked! He explained their behavior and more so how to properly correct it, every single step of the way. There was not a day we left training feeling hopeless! In fact, we were the exact opposite! We were so impressed with each session, left in amazement! We just completed our Intermediate Package- and had you told me we would be where we are today, 6 months ago... I would tell you; you were on some good drugs… not possible. But here we are instead with 2 dogs that CAN be in the same room together, they CAN coexist again- we still have some work to do (life got busy) but we could not be happier with all the progress made. Chris made it look easy, even when they wanted to be stubborn! I could not recommend Idaho Elite K-9, enough for all your needs, rather its basic obedience or a special situation like ours… you will not regret this decision. *Photo from our last session!*

We came to Chris for dog training due to adding an additional dog unexpectedly to our family. Both of our dogs had some training but were both trained differently and the new dog was not used to the amount of people around our home and kids. Obviously for our kids safety and for hers we knew we had to invest in some training to make everything work! Chris not only met our expectations but over exceeded them. He had both dogs walking on a loose leash and healing in under 2 mins. I had tried and tried to no avail to get our previous dog to walk on a loose leash. It always ended in frustration for us and she never really got to enjoy walks! Now we can walk both dogs off leash at the same time. While the new dog is still building confidence, I feel she trust us more and is learning! She feels more confident around kids and company! Chris has really taught US to help our dogs through training. It really is teaching the owners how to work with their dogs. We have seriously just been so happy with our training. We are really sad our lessons are over and hope to do more in the future. In the mean time we will use our knowledge to maintain our dogs training and teach new things that we want as well! We absolutely loved working with the trainers at Idaho Elite K-9. They are all very knowledgeable and easy to work with. Their expertise helps you target areas in your training where you or your dog are lacking, and they helped to quickly resolve the issue. The sessions were fun and my dog loved the trainers. Chris and the rest of the staff are wonderful. We will definitely be doing the intermediate and elite classes with them as well.
