"I Said Sit!" School for Dogs

My partner and I decided to enroll our puppy with the expectation of a professional and organized class, unfortunately this was not our experience. The environment felt very unstructured. Instead of guided interactions, it was mostly chaotic, with limited supervision from the staff. The staff interacted mostly with those who were younger, closer to their own age. At several moments, more dominant puppies were overwhelming the more timid ones, and the intervention from staff was either too late or not sufficient. This made the experience feel uncomfortable and not very secure. Overall, we would not recommend this class.

So far we’ve done the puppy class and loved it. The class is very well organized, with 2-3 trainers per class, weekly themes related to things puppies need to learn, and a lot of individual help with the training activities. I really like how the class is a mix of structure and play and the puppies have time to run around with each other. The trainers intervene to teach proper socialization if needed. We plan to continue with the adult class or the shorter workshops. Special shout out to Chynna, De’Jane, and Marlen, who ran our class. They’re excellent trainers and patient with us uncoordinated humans!
