When we first met with Ramon in 2022 with Sid & Poppy we couldn't have a conversation with anyone other than the 2 of us. Sid & Poppy would bark incessantly and make it impossible. In our evaluation class with Ramon, he gave 1 technique that was a game changer and we could finally have conversations with our neighbor when she came outside and we were out with the pups. We signed up for basic 1, then basic B and advanced and have never regretted the money or more importantly the time that we've spent with Ramon, Lori, Odessa and Haley, they have all have worked with us, humans and pups to achieve a level of communication, understanding, respect and commitment that continues to grow with each milestone we pass. We are now able to go to the dump, Home Depot, an outdoor venue and participate in community that was unthinkable 3 years ago. Thank you Hudson K9 Team for everything!!

I brought my reactive dog to Hudson K9 as a referral. I was not a fan of the stale used, but do understand why it would work on other dogs. We brought our dog in and we were very clear in our email and in person that we wanted to work on her aggression towards my other female dog. That she is food aggressive and we can’t even have them in the house together. We let them know we were not worried about basic commands as she does well. I felt completely ignored after we were told they could help. We did 4 classes. All of which I felt like I was just there to just “hang out”. The owner talked more about himself, lake life, his study habits when it comes to personal trainer school, and even vented about her girlfriend. When we signed up we told it’s 1/2 hr training, but paid for an hour “in case anything bad happens”. I still Agreed. However, after 2nd class of mostly chit chat, I decided To bring my 14 yr old with me in hopes the chit chat would be less as I really Wanted to focus on keeping my dog. Come basic chit chat is nice and building that friendly friendship isn’t a bad thing… this just went beyond that and the guys nice, but I just Wasn’t comfortable. After being uncomfortable I asked For mother trainer. I didn’t state why as I didn't Want to be treated differently. I was Told the owner was the best and that she needed basic training before anything else. Which I know Isn’t true, I’ve spoken to other trainers. My dog was also very scared of him, and would growl and bark at him every time we were there and when he handled her, she always had he tail between her legs! I should Have listened to her body language! I just Wanted to do anything to keep her and couldn’t loose out of the 650 paid! At the 4th class we didn’t even do anything because I mentioned We may have to rehome her because her aggression was getting worse within the last month. I also Wanted to reschedule so my husband could come and learn as well. Sadly, after canceling due to being sick, we ended up going camping that weekend. She ended up aggressively attacking one of my dogs 2 times in a row! The 2nd she leaped out of my husband’s arms. This was one of the dogs she normally got along with. Due to having kids, we did surrender her back to the shelter, which broke all of me. I believe that style of training wasn’t for her. Again, that’s my dog, I do Believe they get great outcomes and on dogs not so scared of everything I think it could work well. But I was disappointed! That class where I said I may Rehome her, I was Informed that if I ddi We could get a refund or pass on the training to her new owner. As we brought her back to the shelter, we can’t pass it along nor do I think It would be good for her. The owners have avoided my 4 emails for 50% back and they have also ignored my calls. That’s not why I’m writing this review… I just Want them to be more professional, help where’s asked, and listen to the client.

Hudson K9 is an absolutely phenomenal training facility! We did Basic Obedience with our 7 month old Labrador Retriever. She is extremely high energy and difficult to handle at times. Hudson K9 helped us harness different training tactics and techniques, making my life much easier. Our dog Pippa is doing fantastic with her training at home. We had Odessa for almost all of our classes and she is AMAZING. She pays attention to all students and gets to know your dog personally. It makes all the difference. She makes class very comfortable for both you & your dog, and is happy to answer any questions you may have. Another thing I found really helpful is that with Basic Obedience, the class sizes are extremely small. We usually only had 2-3 other dogs in our class. I found this much less stressful. You can tell you get personalized training and attention due to this factor. Overall, an amazing training facility with amazing trainers! Me & Pippa are very happy!

I truly cannot say enough good things about Hudson K9. After a really upsetting experience at a local doggy daycare that left my dog anxious, reactive, and completely unlike herself, I turned to Hudson K9 hoping for a reset. What I got was so much more. My dog did the 6-week basic training program with Julia, who was beyond amazing. She was patient, clear, and so in tune with my dog’s needs and learning style. After that, we worked with Lori for e-collar training, and I honestly have to say it changed both my life and my dog’s life. The confidence, calmness, and communication that came out of that training has been incredible. Within just 24 to 48 hours of starting, I already saw a huge shift. My dog began returning to her normal, happy, confident self. It was like someone flipped a switch. The team at Hudson K9 truly understands dogs at their core — they don’t just correct behavior, they create structure, trust, and long-term success. My dog now occasionally goes to bootcamp, which has been such a beneficial add-on for reinforcing her training and keeping her structure consistent in a fun and supportive environment. What I appreciate most is how professional, experienced, and thoughtful everyone is. After everything we went through, the team at Hudson K9 made me feel heard, supported, and hopeful again. They genuinely care, and it shows. If your dog is struggling or just needs a stronger foundation, this is the place to go. Hudson K9 gave us our peace of mind back and reminded me how much dogs can thrive in the right environment. I will recommend them to absolutely everyone.

Absolutely adore HK9 and ALL of their staff!! My two dogs Piper and Kona got into a bad fight this past summer over food while I was away and I came home to blood splattered all over my walls and carpet, my dogs both had dried blood all over their bodies and one of them needed to go to the ER. I was at a complete loss and was shocked to come home to this scene as they are both inseparable and have an amazing bond. I went in for an evaluation with Ramon and he wanted to see how they would behave around other dogs so he asked if he could bring his own dog in and my dogs both went ballistic. Ramon suggested private classes with him and from the moment I left the evaluation, I had such a positive feeling about this place and immediately had so much respect for Ramon. I learned in each of my classes what to do and how to handle the dogs and worked SO HARD at home implementing what I learned in class with my dogs and they ended up passing their test at the end of the classes. Ramon was blown away to see the difference in the evaluation compared to how they were during the test. Once private classes were done, we were approved for basic obedience and their bootcamp program. My dogs were once extremely dog reactive and are now able to be around other dogs at bootcamp and it gives me so much relief. I would kiss the ground Ramon and Odessa walk on!!! I want to add that all of my classes were with Ramon only, but the one time I worked with Lori was when she taught us how to correctly use the e-collars and she was so kind and so sweet! I also talk to Odessa on a weekly basis and she is always open and answers my questions without hesitation. She is truly a staple at HK9 and I love her!! I adore this place and I’m so beyond grateful for the training they have taught us. I will ALWAYS speak highly of HK9 and recommend them any chance I get. They truly hold such a special place in my heart and I have the utmost respect for this business, they are incredible people and trainers. What I love most is that they are honest through and through, but they’re the nicest people you’ll ever meet. Highly recommend them to anyone needing basic obedience and especially for those who are looking for behavior modification.
