We had a great experience working with Adam doing the one-on-one training sessions. I really appreciate his modern and gentle approach to dog training and found it very effective with my "Nervous Nelly" puppy. He will tailor the training sessions to your dog's specific needs and will work with you on training your dog yourself and managing your expectations. I recommend asking lots of questions to get the most out of the training sessions and writing things down. In the end, my dog has shown improvement from Adam's training and I recommend it!

We had a great experience with Adam and How2Dog. His training techniques are positive, simple and clear. We feel equipped to keep working with our dog on our own after finishing Adam’s classes. Adam helped us with our goals for our dog and even identified skills that we needed to work that we didn’t realize. We are grateful we found How2Dog. Excellent work. Our dog is Cane Corso and Rhodesian Ridgeback. I worked diligently on socializing and training her in the basics commands. The result of all the socializing is she thinks everyone is nice, will love her, and wants nothing more than to pick her up and cuddle. Following commands, however, was a different story. We had diligently worked with a trainer for 15 weeks. After completing that, she knew the commands, was excellent on or off leash and most people would think she was good to go. Problem was, she only behaved this way while in training mode. During average everyday situations, she felt she didn't REALLY need to follow commands or , but when it suited her. It was requiring dad to raise his voice multiple volume levels to get her to follow commands. This was taking the joy out of most situations, and I had stopped taking her on outings. I realized she was going to be a challenge, and needed to go the next step and have her live with the trainer. I did a significant amount of research on various "Live In" dog training businesses. After talking with 5 vets in the area, some rescue groups, the original dog trainer we had used, a local group that does various advanced traing classes as well as the obligatory online research and reading reviews. I created a simple point sytem so I could get some way to measure the various businesses. After all that, Adam had a lot more points than the runner up. Set up a meeting with Adam. It only took a 10 minutes of the hour + long initial meet and greet to know Adam was the guy. Our dog liked him, he taught us a number of things that we didn't know, and he had her following commands while on leash very quickly even though we weren't really training AND she was hyped up, just wanting to play. I watched what and how he worked with her, felt secure that he would treat her well and take good care of our baby. Several days later, we set the drop-off date, went over the logistics of food, treats and what additional items to bring. This is getting quite long, I'll finish this up in a couple days.

Adam worked wonders with our very difficult husky puppy, Kobe. Kobe was rude and rambunctious and during walks thought it was fun bite on the leash and then jump on and bite his walker. Kobe spent 4 weeks with Adam and the change has been amazing. While Kobe is still a very spirited (and sometimes naughty) 8 month-old husky, he is well-behaved in the house and is now actually fun to walk. We HIGHLY recommend Adam. Not only is he a great dog trainer, he’s also a very nice guy! Thanks Adam.

At first I thought I couldn’t afford the effective dog training Adam provides. Then I realized I can’t afford to live with a bad dog! And who wants the stress of a bad or untrained pet? Adam took my 5 month pooch in and made him part of his family. My dog was socialized with children and taught house manners, conditioned to stay in a kennel for a reasonable amount of time, made some new dog friends, and all with love and appropriate expectations. My little guy, Bobby, got a great head start on house training and is now accident free for 6+ weeks at just 6 months. Our bond is unbreakable and I can confidently take him out and about in public. Adam also was very generous with his time training me! With these skills I can get the best results from my dog. The best thing you can do for your dog is provide proper training making him a great companion for yourself and a welcomed guest of your friends and family. I highly recommend Adam’s services.
