Houndstooth Training

We were nervous at first to send our puppy away to training camp but Houndstooth has been the best decision we could have made.He has gained so much patience, confidence, and is a pro at down stays, sitting, and recalls. He even made friends that he was very sad to leave! He is the same puppy but a better version of himself. Olivia and Emille love all of the houndstooth dogs and truly know what then are doing- couldn’t recommend enough!

I have had a great experience here! My dog Denali is very anxious and can display some aggression stemmed from her anxiety, and needed intensive training to ensure she would be happier and safer for people and other dogs. With this in mind, we did the 8 week+ board and train. Houndstooth went above and beyond for her, specifically addressing her needs. They kept her as long as she needed, and also boarded other dogs in her life to do safe intros and training. Could not recommend them enough

The Houndstooth Team was incredible in throughout our French Bulldog’s (Jeter) 3-week puppy training. When we dropped him off they welcomed him with open arms, gave us the tour of their facility and a full synopsis of what the program would address and how the techniques work. Olivia and Emme kept us apprised of all the happenings during his stay and provided us with picture/video updates along the way. We returned home to a perfectly trained puppy who now knows how to walk on the leash like a professional, has no more accidents in the house, and behaves like an old dog when around people and the public. He went into the program as a very excitable puppy and returned a rockstar! We would HIGHLY recommend their service and all of the techniques they taught while training Jeter, but most importantly the continued teaching we give him from their guidance. Do yourself a favor and send your puppy to Houndstooth, it will change your life! 5 stars across the board.

Houndstooth transformed our rescue puppy, Bowie from Aruba. He was a good dog overall, but needed some training on critical issues. Emilie and Olivia are highly skilled and know how to make your dog a better version of themselves. I was so scared our pup wouldn't remember us after the 8 week training, but he was the same old dog - just more polite and well mannered! He is now trained on a treadmill and we can give him a run whenever he wants in our apartment. Highly recommend Houndstooth!

We sent our dog Apollo to Houndstooth for the 8 week behavioral training. We had a two month old baby and were having a hard time working through his reactivity toward strangers while managing a newborn. Houndstooth and Olivia were amazing! They prioritized finding space for Apollo and took him on short notice. 8 weeks later he came back with incredible off leash recall, “place” training in the home and we got the tools we needed to be able to manage him when new people come to our house. We have sent him back to Houndstooth for boarding while we are away for the holidays, and are so happy to know he is getting attention and care while we are away. He was so excited to be back there. It was wonderful to see!
