Hope Retrievers is owned and operated by Kelli Hope of Whitewright, Texas which is just 1 hour north of Dallas. Her love for the retriever began when she coached her first chocolate lab through gun dog training for her husband Jordan. From there she has trained and competed in many AKC hunt tests. This includes qualifying Retrievers for the AKC Master National in 2018, and 2019
Kelli is a 20 dog Professional Dog Training operation. This gives her adequate time with each dog to insure they reach their full potential. Hope Retrievers strives to bring out the best in YOUR retriever!

We rescued two German Shepard/ Poodle mixes. (i.e. not retrievers) They are brother and sister and a very big handful. They had "Littermate Syndrome" and were impossible for us to train. Kellie is literally an answer to prayers! She worked on both of our dog's basic obedience and now they are night and day different. All of our lives are SO much better. She came highly recommended. Even though we live in Houston - the drive was worth it. The training is priceless! I would highly recommend using Kellie, she is amazing! (And a total life saver!)

We sent our 1 year old mini Aussie to Hope Retrievers for the 6 weeks obedience training. I did basic training with him, but we couldn’t take him on walks without him going berserk despite all of the tricks and tips we tried. Our pup came back from obedience training such a gentleman and so much more “settled”.
It’s been almost a month since we’ve had him back. I took him on a walk and we crossed paths with a large unleashed dog without its owner. The dog charged us, but luckily the dog responded to me yelling no and only circled us. My dog did not bark or whimper. He heeled and waited for directions. We were able to walk away slowly and get into our house right as the dog tried to charge again. I know without a doubt if our dog hadn’t been so well trained it would have been an entirely different scenario and I am so thankful.

Two wheaten terriers ( our 4 and 5 yr old fur babies) went to spend some time at Hope Retrievers for some advanced obedience training! They needed to be touched up!!! Bringing home a baby and we needed some fine tuning and better manners! It was a total success!!! These guys are as lovable as always but without the awful bruises from jumping on us and my couch is no longer their landing pad! They are listening and following commands in the home and outside for my jobs and walks that I take! We love where the squirrels and rabbits are in abundance so plenty of opportunity to drag me down the sidewalk! They aren’t doing anymore! Thank you Hope Retrievers! Our home is a little more peaceful and our pups are happy hanging out with us more!

This was a great place for our goldendoodle! Kelli is a fantastic trainer and we have a pup with manners now. This is going to be so beneficial for him and us in the future with an active/ social lifestyle. Part of having a pet is including him in our daily activities and with Oakley’s obedience training, it’s going to be that much easier. It’s worth it!

Hope Retrievers did a fantastic job with my high-energy lab puppy, Bronco! He is so much more attentive than he was before and truly understands his commands. My entire family cannot believe how well-behaved he is. Highly recommend!!!!
