Honor K9 Dog Training

Mark is one of the most knowledgeable dog trainers I've ever met. He has sound advice for handling various aspects of a dog's training, from training the basics to various forms of advanced training, including scent work. I found his advice for my new (older) puppy who has higher prey drive than any of my other Belgians, to be spot on. Kona is a very different dog than my others and, as such, has different techniques that work for him (and me!). Mark is always willing to assist during our lessons. I even called upon him while my husband and I were on vacation when there was an issue with the dog walker. He is the best!

I cannot say enough good things about this experience. I have had the pleasure of watching Mark train both my parents and sisters dogs previously. Luckily for me he was available to train my new 7 month old puppy, Max. Mark brought a wealth of knowledge to the training not only regarding the psychology involved in training but also regarding the innate breed characteristics and how to embrace them and help them flourish. Our trainings really focused on understanding and exploring the strength of positive reinforcement and consistency. He was able to fine tune each lesson to the exact issues I needed help and support with rather than focusing on some predetermined agenda. It was incredible to see behaviors (I.e, mouthing, barking, over excitement, counter surfing, etc) dissipate over the four weeks together through Marks teachings and my consistency when not in class. Each class was truly a pleasure and I feel like not only a better dog owner but a better more compassionate owner and person overall.
