I don’t even know where to start. Joe is an incredible trainer and has been amazing to work with!! We found our boy in the middle of the desert in October 2023 and did not intend to keep him. It was clear he had lived the first year of his life alone and not being “dog people”, we didn’t think we’d be up to the challenge of raising him. Fast forward to 2 months later of getting him well enough to adopt out, we fell in love and wanted to keep him, but he had so much to learn and we didn’t know where to begin to train him. Eclipse has a lot of energy and is a big dog so he can be a lot to handle. That’s when we met Joe. We called him based on his stellar reviews and he lives up to them all and then some. We did 6 weeks of board and train and are now midway through our transfer lessons. We are beyond excited with how far Eclipse has come with learning how to be a well behaved pet dog. We learn so much with every lesson also. If your dog needs to be trained, I cannot imagine a better trainer out there. I’m so happy we chose Hodge Canine!!

Hodge Canine is the best of the best! We hired Joe/Emily to help us with our dog who was acting aggressive towards our toddler. Joe was very professional and patient teaching us how to understand why our pet was “misbehaving”. We did weekly/monthly visits with Joe, who was very detailed and informative, to address not only our main concerns, but building overall obedience and confidence in our dogs. There’s no one I would trust more to train our dogs. Hodge Canine is truly passionate about what they do. We are so thankful to have found such a great local dog trainer!!!

Joe was very patient and understanding with me as I struggled with my reactive dog. His approach was very positive and educational. We did 10 private lessons, and we now have a strong foundation of knowledge and skills to keep improving upon. And he asked us to check in regularly to let him know how we are doing. :)

First off, it took us a while to choose the best board and train fit for our fur babies. We had several consultations throughout the valley. Our mini Aussies were very destructive with no boundaries. We knew we found the best choice upon our consultation with hodge. Joe is extremely knowledgeable in what he does. The hand off was easy and painless as well as the transition back into our home. We received weekly updates with videos and all questions were answered immediately beforehand, during and after. We loved that the board and train also comes with in home sessions to make the transition easier and training up to par not to mention teaching us commands and markers. Emily who’s in charge of scheduling and phone calls is super friendly and knowledgeable as well. She has been super friendly and flexible for us. I have learned so much throughout this process. If I could go back I would still choose Hodge 100%. If you’re on the fence CHOOSE HODGE!
