Highland Canine Training - Alabama

We sent our Aussiedoodle puppy, Huck, to Highland Canine for the Basic Board & Train program, and are so thankful for them. Corey was great to communicate with regarding the process and working with our schedules. Huck was placed with Shae, and she is fantastic with him. We received many updates along the way, including pictures and videos. She spent time educating us at pick up on how to continue his training at home, along with some video examples of his training. A week after we had him home, Shae came to our house to see how we were all doing and help us with ways to continue training in our own environment. She has also been available for questions and extremely helpful with new things that arise. Since his training, Huck has gone back to hang out for a few days while we were out of town. We couldn’t be more pleased with our results and all of the staff at Highland Canine.

I adopted my rescue husky from an animal shelter when she was already a few years old, she was so sick from being neglected I wasn’t sure she would make it, and the first six months of her life were spent nursing her back to health. Whenever she made her recovery and her happy- go-lucky, typical husky personality came out in full force as very little training had been done while she was sick. She pulled on the leash constantly, had no recall, was quite the escape artist, and had a bad case of selective hearing and stubbornness when it came to learning any new tricks. I have had other dogs before and no matter what I tried to do to train her nothing seemed to stick. Imelya helped train my fur baby and she came back a different dog!! I can let her go off leash at the lake and she runs and plays and has perfect recall. She never tries to run away anymore. She can heel on and off leash and can sit, lay down, stay, and go to place consistently. It has improved our bond so much- I feel like she now knows what I am asking of her and is happy to please, and her training has opened up a whole new world for her! I take her everywhere with me because she is so well behaved and she gets to experience so many new sights and smells that never would have been possible before. Highland k9 training sent me weekly updates and pictures and responded quickly any time I asked questions about her. I knew she was in the best of hands. I can’t thank them enough for helping Basil have a new and wonderful life! I highly highly recommend them for anyone with a stubborn or unruly pup who needs a bit of extra help. Not just for to make the owners life easier, but to greatly improve stability in your dogs life and open up doors for so many more adventures for them!

I highly recommend Highland Canie Training! I had a fantastic experience with them. They came out to my home for an evaluation, and I was immediately impressed by their professionalism, knowledge, and calm, confident demeanor around my dogs. Having someone come to my home made a huge difference too—it allowed them to see the dogs in their normal environment. If you are looking for a company to train your dogs, look no further!!
