Mary doesn’t make rash judgements. She doesn’t have you walk in and tell you to dispose of your dog. Our vet referred us to her and he is a gem. Our dog had bitten me badly. His behavior when we walked him got so bad we stopped walking him. Mary thought she could help and we set up a second appointment. Before that appointment happened, he bit me a second time, completely unprovoked. We surrendered him to the no kill rescue organization we had adopted him from. Mary was sympathetic to our decision and offered words of compassion. By the way, we had a trainer tell us to put him down 6 years ago.

I left Helping Pets Behave feeling so confident in my ability to work with my dog to correct the lunging, snarling behavior my dog had worked up to. I am now able to walk past other dogs with no problem, no pulling and she listens and is focused on me. I highly recommend Helping Pets Behave.

Took my dog to Mary for help with aggressive issues that I was having towards my other dog. I barely got through the door when she said the dog was beyond help and should be disposed of. She stated he was a danger to dogs, people and children. She got the dog so worked up that we had to restrain. She had me convinced to get rid of the dog. I reached out to a local dog trainer and now the dog is well behaved and goes to dog daycare. The trainers and kennel staff love her. She gets along well with another dog of mine and they are best friends. So glad that I did not listen to this woman!
