Luis, I wanted to reach out to express my sincere thanks for all your help so far. After spending a lot of time trying to research how to handle my 2 litter mate Frenchies reactive and aggressive behavior on my own, I felt overwhelmed. While my previous experience with trainers focused on basic obedience, it became clear that what we truly needed was specialized behavioral training for our fur babies. I am so glad I found Harmony Dog Training. My lengthy conversation with you about our situation made me feel incredibly comfortable, and I truly value your expertise. The assessment you did at our home was eye-opening; hearing what we were unknowingly doing to contribute to the chaos was exactly the feedback we needed. My dog (Luna) and I just completed the 5 week basic obedience group class and I am very impressed with how much we’ve learned and how much better Luna is doing! The trainer’s Linda and Austin were awesome! They were both encouraging and knowledgeable and gave me and Luna the tools to work on her basic skills especially impulse control. I am excited to take advanced obedience next and also maybe agility eventually! I’ve also boarded Luna with Harmony and appreciate the care they take of Luna while I am out of town.

I used Harmony Dog Training just about a year ago for multiple one on one training sessions. My dog Ollie, was one year old at the time, he didn't have much exposure to groups of people, new people and new places so I wanted to make sure I introduced him in a safe manner. Signing up online was seamless, Luis responded within 24 hours and from there I was able to easily use the online platform to choose a day and time that worked for the consultation. Luis took the time to meet Ollie, ask us extensively about what we are looking for and provided us a recommendation on how many weeks we'd realistic need to accomplish what we are looking for. Over the following month and a half, we went to a bunch of different environments, ranging from the neighborhoods near the facility, to Blackstone Blvd, Lincoln Woods and even the Pedestrian bridge in Providence. We worked on consistent heeling, meeting new people, introducing new places. I had an e-collar so I was able to train using that as well. What I really appreciated and expressed many times to Luis is that with using a trainer like Luis, you get personalized instant feedback. Before using Luis I tried using YouTube videos, which are good for ideas but is nothing compared to what Luis can provide. I am now extremely confident with Ollie in public. His recall and heel are great; he doesn't growl or bark at people in public. He's a happier and healthier dog. We truly can’t thank Luis enough for what he has done for our dog, Petey. After just 5 weeks of working with him, the results have been nothing short of miraculous. When we first started, our Petey who is a Husky/Malamute rescue mix was a fearful puppy who wouldn’t even come out of his crate. Today, he literally runs to greet Luis at the door. The transformation has been incredible. We rescued Petey at 3 months old, and he struggled with low confidence, fear of being outside, and severe reactivity to loud noises that would send him into full blown panic. Another trainer had told us he was an “extreme case” who would likely need medication, which was heartbreaking to hear. That night I immediately began to look for a new trainer and found Harmony Dog Training and sent off an email. The next morning, Luis contacted us and came to meet Petey in person. Something I found other trainers just didn't do, he responds super fast. That level of responsiveness alone stood out, NO other trainer we contacted had done that. Luis met Petey that morning and he assured me he was not an “Extreme Case” and had Petey out of his crate and interacting with him. I was totally blown away. Luis explained Petey was struggling with lack confidence and was not and extreme case. But, it was not only the explanation but it was his delivery of the information. He was very clear but did not make me feel like I was a bad dog mom and THAT meant the world to me. His training sessions have brought a lot of insight, into what I was doing right and doing wrong. He also informed me of cues that I would never have ever known existed. It’s very clear Luis cares about the pups and people he trains, and wants them to succeed, because that’s what its about, the synergy of dog and human learning together. He wants both to succeed, and that partnership is exactly what makes his training so effective. He’s also very responsive via text, which I truly appreciate.
