As a lifelong dog lover and owner, I couldn't be more privileged to share this stellar review of Anna-Marie and Matthew of Happy Heart Pet Care, for the rave-worthy training, care and support of our cherished Stella and our family. To further clarify, they are 100% invested in the wellbeing of every pet in their care, as much as they are committed to supporting the family/owners. This is priceless as they bring to the table in terms of extremely professional, highly astute training that centers on behavior modification. Since adopting our beautiful mixed-breed Stella from a shelter almost seven years ago, we previously tried different trainers with widely varying approaches (from genteel, treat-based to militant style) to help our highly anxious, fearful dog, who suffered abuse before her abandonment at the city shelter. Not only did their efforts not deliver, but some would no-show, cancel or just go off the grid. Admittedly, I didn't know if we would ever find a solution, but just by chance (or fate), a member of our family crossed paths with Anna Marie, and after she and Matthew met Stella, we were off to the races. We immediately were taken by their holistic approach to behavior modification, and what resonated most was how their modalities combined the ideal mix of disciplinary exercises and nurturing reinforcement, tailored to specific situations and environments. Even though I am a PR and marketing communications professional by trade, I have no words to describe the peace of mind and sense of ease we have now, because of Matthew and Anna Marie; and they have our immeasurable gratitude for what they have gifted Stella. While she is a dog who will always have an anxious disposition, Stella has settled down exponentially to finally enjoy the quality of life she deserves. Since our family's journey began with this wonderful pair, Stella will snuggle with us on the couch, feels comfortable with company at home, go out on excursions and hikes without a whiff of concern for other dogs and people ... she has breathing room in her heart, so now we do, too. And even throughout the duration of the LA fires, they regularly checked in to assure us they could cover Stella if necessary and had our backs. This speaks volumes. Matthew and Anna Marie are truly perfect partners to Stella and to my family and I, more than great service providers. I would endorse their services without hesitation.

I have used Happy Heart Pet Care for my cat sitter for several years now. I don't travel that much, but have had your garden variety of pet sitters (friends, neighbors, professionals, etc), and by far Anna Marie and her team is the best. I had two tortie sisters (Eleanor & Rigby) that they watched and now they just watch the one little rascal since the other sweetie has passed away. They are both so particular and anxious and hate when I leave them, but hardly seem to struggle when HHPC watches them. They used to take a few days to acclimate back to normal when I would take a trip, but with HHPC, they don't need any time. They aren't clingy or standoffish at all when I come back. So to me, this means they had plenty of love and enrichment when I was gone. Happy Heart Pet Care has also been so accommodating with my changing schedule. I have had to use them a couple of times very last minute for family emergencies and they have been able to help out. And a couple of times when I have had personal emergencies and had to cancel pet sitting, they have also been kind and understanding and haven't canceled me as a client. Anna Marie and her team truly are as obsessed with your pet as much as you are! Every day I am gone, they send me pics and/or videos of my cats letting me know they are healthy and happy. They have even taken some of the best photos I have of my cats, I literally have them hanging up on my walls. Happy Heart Pet Care is a life saver and I'm so grateful to have them as our pet sitter!

I highly recommend this company not just as a dog trainer but for all your pet care needs. They do training, dog sitting, walking, and even cat sitting. They are highly experienced and had my aggressive rescue dog showing improvement after just a few sessions! I’ve also used their services when traveling. They send updates on the pup and make sure he is very well taken care of. Highly recommend them!!
