Working with a foster pup comes with its own unique challenges, and they’ve been so patient, knowledgeable, and supportive every step of the way. From the very beginning, they took the time to understand my dog’s personality and needs, and created a training approach that actually works for him—not just a one-size-fits-all method. I’ve already seen such a huge difference in his behavior, confidence, and overall happiness. What I appreciate most is how they’ve also helped me become a better, more confident handler. They explain everything in a way that’s easy to understand and always make sure we feel set up for success. Grizzly has been under the care and training of Matt and Anne Marie for well over half a year now. Grizzly is a strong, smart and sensitive girl. We needed someone who was strong enough to walk her, but also someone who she trusted enough and could understand and not misinterpret her temperament . We are so lucky to have met Matthew and Anne Marie. They both make a great team and provide a good balance of energies. Grizzly is a particular dog that requires someone who can give her the attention and focused direction she needs; I am so happy to see how much Grizzly has begun to look forward to school and gets to play with other sweet big and small dogs!! Here is a list of reasons why I will continue to bring my pup to them: - their home is dedicated to their business - their partnership means they work together to ensure the safety, guidance and enrichment of their pups - they own well behaved dogs, Bubba and Olli - they are super down to earth, kind people - Matt specializes in reactivity training and their home offers a perfect environment for supervised play time - they are flexible and are always so thoughtful of our needs, esp of Grizzly - they send the BEST update pics and videos of Grizzly girl I found Happy Heart online after searching for a new boarder for our rottie girl grizzly. At first I noticed their prices were a lot higher than the average rover sitter - but most of the profiles I found online didn't accept a large dog or even rottweiler breed due to their HOA rules etc, not to mention, caring for a large dog like grizzly would require someone with extensive dog experience... In the end, the choice to go with someone more experienced was a priority for me - the initial investment (behavioral assessment, meet and greet etc) was well worth it!! We are happy to continue having Matt & Anne Marie look after Grizz. Searching for a boarder and trainer was tough. I have visited local dog "playhouses" and even interviewed a couple of other online sitters too. There are many reasons why I would rather take grizzly to a specialized care in a home versus a large play pen that isn't far off from a zoo..But at Matt & Anne Marie's house, I know Grizz is in great hands while boarding or for sleep overs!
