Happy Dog Canine Training

A few months ago my dog (Chance) began fighting my dad’s blind dog. He unintentionally ripped his ear and we were all freaked out and knew he couldn’t keep starting fights. I reached out to Happy Dog Canine training after reading all the reviews of other people having the same problem with their reactive dogs. I spoke with Jade on the phone and he was very informative and friendly, and never once made me feel guilty or bad for my dog being this way, and he reassured me it was something he could fix. He got me in very quickly, but even offered to board Chance for me if we could not safely keep the dogs separate. The plan was for him to stay for 3 weeks, but towards the end of the 3 weeks Jade said he would need to keep him a little longer. I know Chance is stubborn and difficult and immediately felt bad he was causing problems, but again, they were super nice and didn’t make me feel guilty about the situation. At the end of his stay, which they did not charge me any extra for, he drove an hour to drop my dog off at my house to make sure he was re-integrated safely, and he showed us how to work with our other dogs as well. I waited a few months to make this to see how the training would hold up, and I’m happy to say the dogs can safely be around each other months after the training. Jade and Happy Dog really knows the stuff! Personable, hilarious, and a very caring and awesome trainer! Our dog was reactive, horrible on the leash, among many other things that made me feel like a horrible owner. After the training we were walking on leash, and off leash. He didn’t leave until I was 100% confident! With reassurance I could reach out if I needed anything. I’m super excited to be able to explore and give my dog what he wants and needs!

I can't recommend Jade enough. I initially reached out to inquire about 1:1 training for my husky mix, and instead of immediately trying to sell me a package, he took the time to call me back and spent over an hour on the phone walking through my concerns and offering practical advice I could start implementing on my own. He was incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and never once made me feel judged for the challenges we were having. What stood out most was his genuine desire to help, even when there was no guarantee he would gain a client from the conversation. He provided so many useful tips and strategies that I left feeling confident and excited to work on things myself first. If these techniques don't fully solve the issue, I will absolutely be calling him back for private lessons. It's rare to find someone who is this generous with their time, expertise, and support. Highly recommend.
