I can't say enough great things about Happy Dog Academy! From the start, it was clear that Gabriel truly cares about the dogs he works with. My boy did the board and train program with him, and the transformation during that time was incredible. Gabriel made sure my dog felt safe, cared for, and set up for success from day one. After the board and train, we continued with weekly sessions, which helped reinforce everything my dog had learned — and gave me the tools I needed to keep building on his progress. The structure Gabriel provided made everything feel clear and achievable, and it was so helpful to have that ongoing support as we transitioned back to everyday life. What I appreciated most was how much Gabriel focused on educating me as the owner. He didn’t just train my dog — he taught me how to maintain the training, communicate effectively, and build a stronger relationship with my boy. Thanks to his guidance, I can now confidently enjoy off-leash walks, something I never thought I’d be able to do! Happy Dog Academy gave us everything we needed to succeed. Finding Gabriel and him training our dog Star has been life changing! We used to be nervous/anxious to take Star in public and have family/friends over, but that has completely changed since we enrolled Star in Happy Dog’s board and train class. Gabriel also offers weekend classes that are included in the training which provide excellent reminders, tips, and a great social event for your dogs to just be a dog. We are now able to take Star out in public, go for off leash walks, and do all the things we love doing with Star at our side. Highly recommend if you are thinking about placing your dog in training!

As first-time dog owners, we struggled with Koda’s challenging behavior, including disobedience, anxiety, and reactivity, especially after a prior failed training experience. We felt helpless, unable to manage his behavior, which lead to overwhelming frustration. After working with Gabriel, during a 5wk board & train behavior modification program, Koda underwent a remarkable transformation. I can’t say enough good things about Happy Dog Academy—they truly saved my dog, Gucci. Gucci is a massive German Shepard that struggled with fear aggression and lacked socialization, making everyday outings stressful and unpredictable. Gucci spent the first couple of months of his life on an amish farm. He was not exposed to people regularly. In his first 4 vet visits, he was turned away. I felt so hopeless and seriously considered giving up my poor baby Gucci. Flash forward to finding Gabriel and Happy Dog Academy. Gucci spent 5 weeks at a behavior modification program and while I was sad to see him leave, I knew it was the right thing to do for my dog. While I missed him, I was able to keep up with his training almost every day through videos. Thanks to their expert training, Gucci has completely transformed into a confident, well-mannered dog that I can take places (including the vet) without fear of aggression! Not only has he learned the skills he needs to thrive, but I also feel continuously supported by Happy Dog Academy, even beyond our sessions. Their patience, knowledge, and dedication made all the difference. Gucci now attends group classes with a variety of other dogs and it is amazing to see how much he has learned and will continue to learn. Outstanding Training Experience with Happy Dog Academy! I cannot recommend Happy Dog Academy enough for their exceptional training services! My Cane Corso, Xane, has made incredible progress thanks to their knowledgeable and patient trainers. From day one, they understood his unique needs and tailored their approach to bring out the best in him. Xane went from being unfocused and overly energetic to a well-mannered and obedient companion. Their effective reinforcement techniques and structured training sessions made all the difference. I especially appreciate how they took the time to educate me as well, ensuring that I could reinforce what he learned at home. The training wasn't over after the initial board and train period, but has continued for Xane and my whole family. We are comfortable with Gabriel and his staff and feel as though he and his other clients are part of an extended family.
