I can’t say enough good things about Happy Dog Academy and Gabriel. Oso spent five weeks with him for the board and train, and honestly, he came home a completely different dog. Oso was always a good dog, but I knew he had so much more potential and I needed help getting him under control. With my husband being gone on deployment and me trying to manage a baby and everything else life throws at you, I knew I wasn’t giving Oso what he needed. After talking to a few different trainers, I met with Gabriel and we immediately clicked. He decided to take us on and help us create a more peaceful life while also giving me the tools and confidence to actually manage my dog. I met with Oso 1-2 times a week throughout his training, and I could see a difference within the FIRST week. The 1 on 1 sessions were honestly one of the most important parts for me because I wasn’t just watching someone train my dog. I was learning how to communicate with him, how to handle different situations, and how to actually use the techniques Gabriel teaches and uses. I now have so much more control, and with all the chaos that comes with… life, it gives me peace of mind knowing I can manage my baby. If I could give Gabriel 10 stars, I would. I would recommend him and Happy Dog Academy to anyone who feels like they’re struggling with their dog or just knows their dog has more potential than they’re able to bring out on their own, like me. Gabriel, thank you for making my life so much easier. Thank you for treating us with so much kindness, patience, and respect. Choosing Happy Dog Academy was one of the best decisions I could have made for my dog, Sadie. From the moment I met Gabriel, I could tell he genuinely cared about the dogs he works with and was passionate about helping them succeed. He took the time to answer all of my questions and made me feel confident that Sadie would receive the best care and training possible. Sadie completed Gabriel’s board-and-train program, and the transformation has been incredible. I was very hesitant about board-and-train programs at first, but after meeting Gabriel, I knew he was the right person to trust with her. He kept me updated throughout the process and made sure she was set up for success from day one. Before training, Sadie was extremely hyper. She would jump on everyone as soon as they walked through the door, struggled to walk properly on a leash, could never seem to settle down, and had no reliable recall—she simply wouldn’t come when called. Gabriel took the time not only to train Sadie but also to teach me what I needed to do to help her succeed at home. His passion, patience, and knowledge really stood out. Today, Sadie is like a completely different dog. She walks beautifully on a leash, has excellent manners, has reliable off-leash recall, and is so much calmer and more confident. I honestly don’t know what I would have done if I hadn’t found Gabriel. I highly recommend Happy Dog Academy to anyone looking for professional dog training. I sent my dog Jaxx to Happy Dog Academy and he was an absolute wreck. If I left the house and he wasn’t kenneled he would destroy everything. He fought me going into the kennel, was hard to walk, wouldn’t listen to anything or anyone. I had to kennel him every time I had company. Life was incredibly difficult. I trained with Gabe and Jaxx during his month long stay. I learned how to discipline and interact with Jaxx to re-enforce his training. Now I can take him to stores, have company over, and he kennels himself without a second thought. Gabe and Gappy Dog Academy saved Jaxx and my relationship. Highly recommended!

Happy dog academy changed my life. Im not exaggerating. I have a less than 2yr old American staffordshire who had no skills. Would bark and lunge at every dog he could see regardless of how far away it was. I also have a child who is new to running with separating issues. My dog has dragged me to the ground so roughly my pop socket broke off my phone that was in my pocket. Which means I could NOT take them out together. So I would have to take my dog outside and listen to my child scream. No long walks for my dog because we couldn't go far from the house. Now we go on two, one hour long walks a day or walk on trails, the world has gotten bigger and more fun. We can walk around dog friendly stores, past people and dogs with no issues. He is great with sit, down, and place untill recalled. One of the biggest stresses in my marriage was this uncontrollable dog who messed in the house. And now he is the best dogo, and that stress is gone. There are so many aspects of Happy dog academy that I appreciate and love. The interview at the beginning allowed Gabriel the trainer to see if our dog was a good fit and see what our needs were. He understands that family's have different needs and not all dogs are a match. After I dropped my dog off for the board and stay the trainer kept me informed of training via the app. He helped me understand that the food was not the best for my dog and why. We also got together the 3 of us so I could be part of the training. He tough me how to train my dog. We worked together at my home, a store, a park, and trails. All the things I wanted to be able to do as a family He made sure I know it was possible and how to do it. Once I had to unexpectedly bring my child to training, and he was able to adjust the plan to include my child. Another time at the park the weather turned and down poured and again he adjusted on the fly and we worked in a store. These trainings all together really helped with the transition back home. After I brought my dog home it was amazing. I did have some problems with my dog trusting I would recall him so he wasn't staying. Gabriel had us back over and we worked on inforcing obedience and growing my relationship with my dog. It has worked great. To those who thing its too expensive the removal of the biggest stress in my marriage as well as the physical battle I would go through every time I took the dog out and the clean up of potty messes made it worth it to me. The only thing I would change would be waiting so long to get him trained. I wish I would have done it as a puppy vice living with such an uncontrollable dog for so long. 10/10 recommend Gabriel at Happy Dog Academy.
