About Guter Hund K9 Training

We are a family owned business serving New Braunfels and the surrounding areas. We offer quality K9 training at an affordable price. Lessons are conducted in-home and/or at pet-friendly locations around town, depending on your goals and where your dog is at in the training process. We work with all breeds and training can begin as early as 12 weeks old. Training techniques include both operant and classical conditioning techniques, putting the emphasis on teaching and rewarding, not punishment. I have the sweetest little Scottie except he is terrified of people outside of our family and them coming into our home. It is complete chaos when people come over and we love have folks visit. My Scottie urinates on himself, urinates on you, the floor, runs, hides and barks so incessantly I can’t even think; so I knew I had to get him help. Thank goodness for your help! Instant change, which was not expected AT ALL. He still has work to do, but seeing these massive changes today made me a believer so much that we are doing a private lesson with all three of our dogs now. This man knows what he is doing and will give you the tools to get it done. Well worth the money and I didn’t think I was spending much to get your knowledge and expertise. Thanks again!!!! This was a game changer!

David seriously saved me!!! Our initial interaction before our very first lesson even began, he watched my giant puppy Banana literally dragging me across the pavement with me hanging on for dear life!!! David, calmly took the leash away from me, and right then in that moment…it was like magic!!! I couldn’t believe my eyes!!! It was like I had a completely different dog after one lesson. Now I don’t know if David is a miracle worker, or a dog whisperer, but he has been a true blessing for me. David recognized right away what an amazing puppy I have, and Banana & I are soooo thankful to have found him when we did. David has been life changing for me. I used to actually be scared to walk my dog!!! I really do believe that David saved me & Banana from getting seriously injured. I didn’t think that my dog could be trained in 5 sessions, but turns out he responded so well after just 1!!! So I’m definitely a believer in his program. If you are looking for top notch dog training - stop looking and contact David! He has an amazing connection with dogs and I highly recommend him as a trainer! He offers a wealth of knowledge on every topic related to training. His expertise surpassed all of my expectations. Honestly, I think he speaks dog language! Harley Quinn (our 10 month old pup) responded to his training literally in the 1st session and has made significant progress in just 4 sessions with 1 more private lesson remaining. David is truly passionate and dedicated to his job! He is professional and reliable. Come to find out the humans need as much, if not more training than the dogs! We will be continuing group lessons! We started training classes with Guter Hund about a month ago. I was feeling very discouraged and lost with our puppy, but after just one session with David I started seeing improvements. In the past month, Mac has become such a well behaved dog and I’m excited to keep helping him improve. David really cares about each dog he works with and wants them to succeed. Would HIGHLY recommend!
