Guiding Canines

We were having issues with our older dog who used to be well behaved but has struggled with a move and loss of other dog in the family. Val took him on despite him being the weirdest little goofball possible and just did an amazing job. We as the humans were much slower to learn but she took the time to really help us all understand what we should be doing to help him and create the guidelines and boundaries he needed. The socialization and group activities make a world of difference and she goes out of her way to make sure owners and dogs are really working at their best together.

Val and Caleb of Guiding Canines are so great at training and boarding. Remy is 75 lbs of Lab and German Shepard mix. She was so strong and stubborn; and I didn't know the first thing about training a large dog. I became concerned about the future with an aggressive dog. Remy was becoming uncontrollably aggressive. Then a miracle happened with Val & Caleb, they trained her to become a family member and I have such respect for the care and training they provided our dog, Remy. We recommend them to everyone who asks about our dog. once she completed training last fall, Remy has been boarding with Guiding Canines. Valentina and Caleb were our saviors when we got an Australian Shepherd and hadn’t had a dog in years. Harvey did the board and train program and is the best boy. He amazes us everyday and we owe it all to Guiding Canines. When he goes to board when we go on vacation he is sooo excited to see Val and he gets reinforcement training while there. Win. Win. I can’t recommend them enough. I carry their business card in my treat bag because everyone we come across says they can’t believe how well behaved Harvey is and want more info.

My dogs love Ms. Val! They have stayed with her several times. They always come home clean and happy! Val has trained corduroy to be a therapy dog. He loves to go to schools and Children’s Hospital thanks to Val. Where are young Labradoodle corduroy got attacked in our neighborhood. So Val came over and did a session with corduroy so he would not be afraid of other dogs and walking in our neighborhood. Val is a great trainer.
