Green Mountain K9 Dog Training | Swanzey

After having a consultation I was advised to do a 2500.00 training plan wich consisted of 8 hour long training sessions. My first session was extremely hard to sit through but even harder on my dog. My dog wich is a 5 yr old husky mix mouth was bleeding and spraying everywhere. The trainer informed me that it was a superficial injury and was nothing to worry about. My dog continued to struggle with the method until the hour was up and I brought him home. My dog didn't eat and struggled to drink water for 4 days afterwards. Brought him to the vet and he was checked out and sent home. I then waited a few weeks before going back but i really wanted to trust the process so i tried again, THIS time the session was basically the same method but this time my dog was even more terrified. He ended up getting his nail ripped off and again bleeding and I was again told that it was a common thing and not to be alarmed. My dog ended up limping for the next week with no improvement so again we went to.the vet where he showed to have an infection in his toe from the nail being removed. He ended up on 3 rounds of antibiotics which took two months to complete. This is when my vet advised me to seek out other training methods & that this was clearly not beneficial nor healthy. When I reached out to green mountain k9 to ask for a partial refund since I paid 2500.00 for two hours of inhumane training and a slew of vet bills they informed me that not only am I not getting any sort of refund but I have also forfeited my other 6 lessons (that they NOW say could have tried a different method with) with them due to the time on the agreement had lapsed. So, that's what my dog and I got from green mountain k9 for 2500.00. This isn't the last they'll see or hear of me. & I do not recommend a company that pushes you to have no choice besides to either risk the health of your dog or lose the extreme amount of money that you gave in trust. The ethics here is so wrong. I do not recommend this company. *in response to the reply* I imagine publicly announcing that Memphis and I were "living in a bus" is your way of attempting to discredit me by fabricating a "low class" image. I own my own property, house and never once said I was living in a bus with my dog. Sorry the dreadlocks don't fit your judgements. I did build up a bus that I own into a space for him during the day while his new owner works. & you know that. But good job twisting that information & then making as if Memphis was not taken care of with his unkempt nails. Fits right in with your higher than thou mentality. My dog was in no way neglected & my vet is more than willing to supply documentation stating that his nails were not unkempt or overgrown nor has he ever missed an annual or shown being neglected in any other fashion. & he is not and never has been aggressive to other humans. & was not aggressive towards you. Yes, he clawed at the leash but he bit his tongue because while he was panting you jerked straight up on the barbed choke collar. Chris knows as well as I do that he wasn't lunging at him, personally. Also, good job using the term "roomate" (my elderly yellow lab) to make it sound as if it was a human being. My dog started having issues with my other dog, in my HOME, that is why i seeked your help and never once was it discussed that he had been aggressive towards other humans. Way to totally twist it to fit your corrupt narrative. Given, I did question your character on our first session when you said "I thought I mightve had another easy job" & joked about the woman that never scheduled her sessions after paying you guys because she died. Yea, that was a hoot, Chris... But I still wasnt expecting the cutthroat experience youre dishing to us. But why would you feel a partial refund is reasonable in any situation if a woman that literally died before scheduling any sessions with you is considered an "easy job" & her dog & family is written off. I hope karma serves you right. You people are unreal. Make sure to keep an eye on the Sentinel in the next couple weeks.

Recently wrapped up the 8 week training course for my Catahoula/Lab mix. Goals were to help her gain more confidence and refine her obedience. Worked with both Chris(Swanzey) and Mark(Concord) and without a doubt has helped her. She continues to show that she retained and benefited from their lessons/methods. You do not need to have a bad dog to want to seek working with a trainer and would absolutely recommend GMK9 to anyone who thinks their dog could benefit.

Working with Chris was the best decision I have ever made! My German shepherd Max, now 3 was a handful when I first got him including running off and not coming back. Now I can take him anywhere! I cannot tell you how many compliments I have gotten on how well behaved Max was! I then acquired another German shepherd Mariah who is 6. I've been using the training with Mariah who was used to roaming when and where she pleased, which now doesn't happen. They both listen well to commands. I know some do not like the e-collars, BUT they work and if you do it right you may not even have to even use them. While both mine wear them, I cannot even remember the last time I had to use them! My dogs are extremely happy with their freedom and I'm extremely happy that I can take them anywhere and enjoy them without worry even when other animals are around! I highly recommend Chris and Green Mountain K-9, believe me you will not be dissatisfied!
