Green Dog Training

I got my mom a boxer puppy and tried a couple of different training methods and places to no good end . My vet recommended Green Dog training so I contacted them and took a look at the facility . The dogs were well cared for and the boarding area was clean and cooled or heated as need be so I signed up my moms boxer . I took a fun loving little maniac and got a well behaved fun loving gentleman in return . I don't plan on getting another dog but in the event that I do I will have the training done at Green Dog Training . Yes I would recommend them to anyone that has a hairy family member that needs some manners . Zipper

We have a rescue who has gotten progressively more fearful and aggressive as he's gotten older despite being in a loving home. We did Green Dog's 3 week "board and train" program at the recommendation of the animal behaviorist we work with. Kelly was kind and very knowledgeable, first evaluating him in person then suggesting an overnight weekend before making a commitment to do the program. She felt she could help him so we did the program and ended up needing to leave him there an extra week due to a family emergency. When we got him back he was much calmer, and much more tolerant of strangers and other dogs. I could tell he was well treated because he ran between Kelly and me when seeing me the first time, checking in with both of us to let us know how happy he was. As Kelly warned, he's not "fixed" but she showed us some of the things we were doing that were reinforcing his fears (such as trying to soothe him vs just being calm and assertive) and he's a much happier dog.
