If you are questioning whether or not to use GLDT for your dog, just go for it!!!!! We had the pleasure of our dog working with Liz and Jacob 5 years ago and we’re so excited about them starting their own company!!! We decided it was time for our dog to go and have a refresh course and I am so glad that we did. I was pretty nervous because our dog’s anxiety had been at an all time high and I wasn’t even able to leave her at a daycare center for more than 30 minutes before getting the call that I needed to come get her. The trainers at GLDT were so reassuring that it would not happen with them, and the first day of training we got pictures of our girl with a big smile on her face and a report card saying she was doing so well! She’s now thriving again!! They were so attentive, communicated so well with us, and our dog is so well behaved again.

I truly cannot say enough amazing things about Great Lakes Dog Training. They have truly changed ours and our dog’s lives. We have taken 2 dogs to them to train(and plan to take every puppy we get going forward), a hound with lots of aggressive tendencies, and extremely timid Newfoundland. They worked with both dogs so amazingly and found what worked best for the individual dog and educated us on how to continue their growth. They have helped changed both my life and the dogs. The owners are amazing communicators and their staff is absolutely wonderful and clearly loves and cares about the dogs they work with. Our aggressive dog went for the 3 week board and train (in birch run) and still goes back for refreshers every time we leave town. It is such a breath of fresh air knowing we have someone we trust to look after a dog we feared leaving (due to aggression history) for so long.

HIGHLY recommend!!!! Brought my 6-month old Bernedoodle puppy here to learn basic skills and to learn he always has to listen. He is an ABSOLUTE DREAM now. Truly a transformed dog. Tamar and Ellory were FABULOUS. I loved the daily report cards. I could really see that they loved my dog and that he felt safe and loved by the trainers. Their communication is superb and the new facility in West Bloomfield is fantastic. Thank you team!!
