That's a good question for Google! I have had dogs live longer than 17 years. I know many others have had dogs live to 18 and 20 years. I have found that with love, training, a fantastic diet and good exercise, a dog can have a long happy life. Thanks for the question. Happy training!

Ana (Grace Dog Training & Behavior) is a deeply valuable resource in our community! I am a CPDT certified dog trainer in the Denver area, and often refer clients to Ana when they need specialized training. Not only is she experienced in helping dogs with more nuanced/difficult behaviors, she is dedicated to spreading the base of knowledge to others. Ana is a regular speaker/contributor at conferences and dog trainer network collaborations, where she is warm and thoughtful with a wide spectrum of knowledge and experience. Recently I came to Ana seeking professional insights for a particularly tricky case, and Ana listened carefully, then provided specific ideas and identified a number of proven techniques and best practices to try with my client. She also offered to do a session with my client with me present, bringing the benefit of both specialized expertise and continuity/familiarity which the client sought and appreciated. We are so lucky to have such an experienced trainer who is also such a generous teacher. Thank you, Ana!

Ana is awesome! A font of knowledge and will guide you through all the ups and downs of dog training. She helped me with my reactive/unconfident puppy who was resource guarding. Mal is now 3 and doing wonderful. And my dog loves her more than me!

I have really appreciated Ana's training abilities for both my dog and me. My dog is extremely loving and sweet but was abused as a puppy. She has fear-reactivity and protects her assets when she's triggered - which is with most people other than our family. Ana's approaches are always firm, clear, consistent, yet caring and supportive. Ana has a really good ability to share how our behaviors are interpreted by our pets, and that's always valuable insight. It helps me to change and adjust to what my dog can readily receive and understand. I would not have been comfortable with harsh or punitive approaches, nor would my dog, so Ana's style is a great fit for us. She has grown to love Ana and always looks forward to seeing her now for our sessions. It gives me great hope for changes in allowing others into my dog's life and our family's life as we continue to progress. I would highly recommend Ana, especially you have a dog with challenging behaviors or needs.
