I just recommended Nancy to a friend and was reflecting on how lucky we are to have connected with her. We took her fearful dog classes that were so wonderful and helped our fearful dog communicate with us and feel successful and safe. We also took her first round of tricks class and it was incredible to see our nervous dog enjoy and engage with learning, for learning's sake. As well, we did her training package which helped us navigate a fearful dog in a new environment. I still use everything she taught us day to day and feel like our approach to training is kinder, more practical and more informed than I would have expected. Our dog LOVES working with Nancy and it's because she's kind and wants our dogs to feel safe and their needs honored in our human centric world. 2026 update: Our dog is really sick and her working with the vet team easily will help her happiness and the success of treatment. Nancy responded to my text asking for help with a weird behavior needed for the appointments to go smoothly in five minutes and three days later Prairie is happily offering and practicing “feets” after enjoying a session with Nancy. I appreciate that Nancy helped me think about what was needed and how to support learning it, happily.

We have taken several classes with Nancy since adopting Jo Jo as a puppy, as well as some individual training sessions. Jo Jo ADORES Nancy. We like her a lot, too. She has been patient with my 101 questions. Nancy takes great care to keep classes small and make sure each dog is comfortable, and that they are a good fit for the class. Nancy is aware of the emotional state of every dog in class - it’s like she has eyes on the sides and back of her head! Dogs are spaced adequately to prevent overexcitement or stress, and lessons or spacing are adjusted as needed to accommodate the needs of individual dogs. Another reviewer mentioned a dog barking the entire time. I find that difficult to believe as I have never seen Nancy NOT address any behavior that would indicate a dog is stressed or overaroused, or which would cause other dogs in class to be stressed or overaroused.
