Good Dog Enrichment & Training

I cannot speak highly enough of Good Dog Enrichment. Cait was incredible. I worried my dog Chewy was a lost cause and would never be able to be introduced to new people. Cait and her team helped Chewy and I learn how to rethink and re-train ourselves on how we went about this challenge. I shared the lessons they learned with the family and the difference in Chewy is remarkable. Their services are affordable and SOOOO worth every penny. They have a warm, friendly environment and clearly love what they do. I highly recommend Good Dog Enrichment. Thank you for all you've done for Chewy and our family!

Bait and switch!! I told the input form, the 45-minute intake call, and the meet and greet with the head trainer that my dog is NOT food motivated before any training ever occurred. I emailed them about my dogs lack of food motivation, and still, they "said it would not be an issue." Cait the owner, and Cat the trainer, both said it wouldn't be an issue. They assured me it wouldn't. But that was blatant dishonesty backed up by a company refusing to offer refunds when NOTHING had been taught I wasn't already doing. Huge red flag alert! In the first lesson, I told the trainer that I was already doing the things they recommended (changing direction when another dog approaches, redirecting, focusing around things that make my dog nervous, etc). The next lesson was the same stuff, and I repeated that I was already doing those things. The third and final lessons again were the same stuff I already told Cat I was doing, and it wasn't making an impact. So basically I wasted tons of money and 4 hours of my time minimum to be scammed by these "trainers". They BLATANTLY took advantage of a disabled, poor person who saved for months to afford 4 sessions and refuse to give any refund, even a partial one! When it was very obvious 🙄 that my dog had learned nothing and that dogs that aren't food motivated are apparently animals these people can not train. Then, add in when I tried to speak about getting a refund. It took months to get the owner on the phone to discuss this. Which I now see is an avoidance tactic to avoid giving unhappy clients any chance of a refund. Do NOT use them unless you want to be ripped off! Update! The owner responded and said my financial situation had changed (it hadn't), then said I said the training was effective. It was not effective! It was stuff I was already doing! Not offering a refund when a client is dissatisfied is a retail/service 101 no no, when the owner doesn't want to offer even a partial refund that's a huge red flag. 😳 I'm just adding that if your dog isn't food motivated, then this is NOT the place to get dog training!

Good Dog Enrichment and Training saved my sanity! I am a retired vet tech and I have worked with many dogs through my employment with Purina and Merrick pet foods. I have also owned many, many dogs. I was given a dog that was Pit Bull, Border Collie, and German Sheperd mix. She was given to me because her previous owner could not handle her. She was dog aggressive, food aggressive, toy aggressive, and would even guard the water bowl from my other dog. Her vet records stated "very aggressive dog, handle with care" I consulted and worked with Cait over a period of time, consistently practicing and using the techniques my dog and I were taught. Sometimes I felt like I was in training! Over a period of time, my Bailey became easier to manage and now enjoys being a happy dog! If it had not been for Cait's expertise, we would have had to have put her to sleep. My other dog Daniel, a rescue, was the opposite. He was not food motivated and was very fearful. Again, with Cait's knowledge, expertise, patience, and positive training methods, he has now become a happy, confident dog! I am on a limited income, and I must say this was worth the time and investment, not only for my own well being and peace of mind, but for my dogs as well. This training was worth EVERY penny and then some! I am so happy I was able to train with a company that has been voted as one of the top small businesses in the area, a wonderful place to take your dog for positive enrichment and training- per the article in the Tower Grove newspaper, AND Cait as one of the top trainer's in the state of Missouri! Good Dog Enrichment and Training is the one of the best , as many people can attest to, and I highly recommend them!
