Golden Compass Canine Training

There aren’t enough words to describe how amazing Golden Compass Canine is, and how much knowledge and experience everyone there has to share with pup parents because they truly want to see you succeed. We came as defeated puppy preschool dropouts from a different trainer, and I cried happy tears as we finished our sessions as a reliable dog with a confident handler and a strong relationship with a lot of trust thanks to Lauren. Never in a million years did I think we would able to enjoy the freedom of off-leash activities or be able to begin agility course training. I also love that we get to stay connected through monthly park meet ups so we can continue practicing our skills together along with the opportunity to attend structured daycare so he can socialize with other dogs in an environment I trust. I can confidently say Golden Compass is the best option for dog training in Wilmington, NC!!

Golden Compass has been incredible for Stella! We started with puppy school, where Kayla was so cheerful and helpful. Stella learned basic commands and we gained valuable knowledge on grooming, structure, and socialization. After that, we continued with Off-Leash training (again with Kayla), and now Stella has fantastic recall and loves her newfound freedom outdoors! We also enrolled in Agility 1 with Lauren and Shelby, who are so passionate about the sport. It's been a great way for Stella to burn energy, while also building confidence and coordination. Stella also LOVES her structured daycare days. The facility is clean, safe, and the staff is fantastic. She always comes home exhausted and happy, having spent time with her friends from puppy school and agility class. I’m so grateful for the positive impact Golden Compass has had on Stella’s behavior and happiness. We can’t recommend them enough for training and daycare!

The trainers at Golden Compass have been amazing support for our rescue hound Toby who struggled with reactivity toward other dogs after being attacked twice by off leash dogs. We did private lessons with them and also send Toby to the daycare program. We have greatly appreciated the ongoing support through the weekend group class as well. Toby is a happier dog after the support from Golden Compass.

I highly recommend Golden Compass Canine Training! I have a big energy Vizsla and the team at GCCT has truly been a life-changing resource for me and Ivy Blue. As a puppy, she really struggled with separation anxiety and impulse control. Through the puppy training class and the Freedom Advanced training class Ivy Blue evolved so much! No more crate issues, she knows how to regulate her energy now and we are able to enjoy our active lifestyle together on a foundation of trust and communication. And we are now having fun with their agility class! Two of my favorite activities with my girl are paddle boarding and off leash beach walks! We are able to do these things with ease all thanks to Golden Compass Canine Training! We have worked with all of the trainers at GCCT and everyone is extremely knowledgeable and truly cares about cultivating a healthy relationship between you and your dog. They equip you with so much valuable knowledge/education and practices to integrate at home. I will forever be grateful for the team at Golden Compass Canine Training!
