FirstBarkI live in a dense area with construction, motorcycles, bicyclists, skateboarders, garbage trucks and random noises. My 2 1/2 year old rescue, Farmhouse, was afraid to leave the house; when he would finally go outside he was very skittish. Golan taught us tools to generate our confidence. Farmhouse has developed into a fun-loving, energized, and curious dog. We are very happy and grateful!

After Golan’s course, Pebbles actually enjoys her walks and has so much more confidence. She is no longer super scared every time she sees a person or another dog. Pebbles has improved so much thanks to Golan’s help. She still has more progress to make, but Golan has provided me with the techniques I need to continue to grow her confidence. I would absolutely recommend Golan, especially if you have a fearful dog.

We enrolled in training with Golan last year for our rescue puppy who was extremely uncomfortable with new people coming into our home. After purchasing a pack of 8 sessions we were seeing no progress from one session to the next. His tactics were very aggressive, using loud claps and noises to startle her when she was barking at someone coming into the home, which is absolutely not what a fearful dog needs. She was never comfortable with him after 6 sessions, and we ended up not even using the two remaining sessions we paid for, with no follow up from him either. We found a new trainer who focuses on positive interactions and really understands why dogs are behaving the way they are, and uses gentle methods and rewards for good behavior instead. I'm upset we repeatedly set her back by allowing him to try and intimidate her into behaving the way he wanted, but we didn't know any better and trusted he knew what he was doing. One session with our new trainer, whose jaw dropped when we told her about the methods Golan tried using with a clearly already nervous dog, and we already can see her starting to come around, and now have positive methods to help her gain confidence with new people in the home. Golan seemed like a nice enough guy, but I cannot recommend him as someone who I think delivered an effective nor positive training experience.
Golan is an exceptional trainer and was a tremendous help with my dog’s leash training and socialization. His expertise, combined with his calm and reassuring nature, helped me improve my overall confidence and understanding of dog behavior/training. He is professional, reliable, and reassuring, and I can’t recommend his services enough!
