Our 6mos old English Bulldog spent 3 weeks with Jenzi, we would highly recommend her program. He was a smart boy to begin with but needed a little guidance & her program did not disappoint. He is still a puppy and like with puppies they will see how far they can push the limits. However, now he is able to self settle down with the correct commands & is doing great at home. One of the things we really liked is Jenzi doesn’t just train the dog & send them home, she takes the time to train the owner so that the dog does not revert to old habits. You will not be disappointed with this service.

My dog Jackson struggles with anxiety and has for his entire life. My vet recommended a behaviorist rather than medication and after a weekend getaway that ended with me leaving angry and sad that Jackson's the way he is I decided it was time for professional help. From the first conversation with Jenzi I was confident that she could help Jackson, plus she didn't hang up even after telling her all of his issues! For 3 weeks he learned how to chill out and access his internal off switch. Car rides are no longer screaming fits that last until we reach our destination, he no longer charges at the TV when there's animals or animal sounds. He is calmer and a much more enjoyable dog to be around. I used to dread road trips because of the non stop screaming, but not any more. I am writing this review on our way to San Diego and this is the first time my husband and I have been able to carry on a conversation while Jackson's in the car. Jenzi has worked a miracle with Jackson, and I highly recommend her for any dog training needs. She is professional, responds in a timely manner and works absolute magic with dogs!

Three weeks of training Two standard poodles One great trainer We've two standards aged 1 and 6. The older dog had been good on trails, but never great, had been okay on walks, but far from well mannered if a surprise popped up. He had been kept home too long and was no longer manageable outside the home. Even in the home he alarm barked more often than not and had no self confidence at all around other dogs or some humans. The younger dog was a COVID pup that had never been socialized due to our staying at home for a year and was afraid of everything. We did our research, interviewed various trainers, followed up with referrals provided and made our selection. The dogs were individually boarded and trained by Jenzi at Great Expectations K9 Training for three weeks. During training she stayed in contact with us via text, inviting questions and updating her social media with videos, photos and comments on how they were as well. We received feedback and saw the progress they were making every few days. Near the end of the first board and train we had a video conference with Jenzi where she explained where the older dog was with training, how we would be continuing once we picked them up and answered numerous questions. When it was time, we dropped off the younger pup and picked up the older dog. At the pickup session she spent time walking us through what we discussed during our conference and doing real world demonstrations with the dog both inside and outside. We returned home with the older dog and instantly noticed the tremendous progress. Listening, was focused, understood how to self regulate if anxious and was happier all around. We've kept up with reenforcement at home and have seen more than we thought possible. Three weeks after the first pickup we had the same experience when that training was complete for the younger pup. The change on this one was less dramatic as they had different issues going in and while puppy-like, still has made incredible gains in behavior. Post-training, Jenzi offers daycamp and overnight boarding as well. Today is the first day for them both to go back to see her. Instant recognition and once inside they immediately went to place. I'm thrilled. Great communication, excellent updates and demonstrations on social media along with a great program and follow up have led to a wonderful change in my dogs. Yes, they still love to snuggle and play but they also know how to readily go to work. If they are told to come, sit, place, down they do. No questions or hesitation. Thank you Jenzi!
