Working with Amanda and her team has been an absolute game changer for us and our dog! From the very first session, it was clear that she truly understands dog behavior and are passionate about helping families achieve what they want from the experience. We did the 2 week on boarding experience to improve our dogs separation anxiety and to implement boundaries with him. Our dog was born during Covid and developed a severe attachment to us both and would do negative behaviors. Amanda upon evaluations and working with our dog took the time to tailor each lesson to help these issues and since I was pregnant at the time, even did leash walking with a stroller. The techniques were not only effective, but also easy to implement at home. My dog has significantly improved and while it’s a work in progress, we feel more adept to help our dog and work on improving his behavior. The best part of working with Amanda is that it is so evident how much she cares for the quality of life of your family and your relationship with your dog. She goes above and beyond to make sure that you get the most out of the programs you select. We are very grateful to her and her team for their care and dedication. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a positive change with their dog!

We came to Amanda to help us with our three dogs. We just got a new puppy, and one of our dogs has some guarding behavior. We did the puppy program, and also ecollar training. Amanda is professional and very knowledgeable. Aside from the ecollar, Amanda taught us strategies to work with all three dogs together. Our dog now very rarely exhibits any guarding behavior. The puppy training was wonderful. If you listen to Amanda’s instructions and do your homework it will definitely help raise a well adjusted puppy. It was also very helpful having someone with Amanda’s knowledge to reach out to for questions. I would highly recommend her services.

Amanda and her staff are amazing. I adopted a 1 year old small super mutt in March of 2024 and immediately noticed she was very fearful of the world and things around her. I knew I was unequipped to train a small and sassy little dog with extreme anxiety so I met with Amanda. I booked 6 sessions and within the first 2 sessions I noticed a huge difference in how my pup interacted with the world. Amanda is incredibly dedicated and passionate about what she does and it shows. She is very knowledgable and has a compassionate technique for her training sessions. I just finished my private sessions and I look forward to attending group sessions. I would highly recommend Genetic K9 to any of my dog moms and dads even with a generally well mannered and well behaved dog. The tools that Amanda provides are incredibly helpful in opening up the whole world to your pets.

I am glad i chose to go to Amanda to train my 10 year old German Shepard. He was very dog reactive and Amanda worked with me and him to the point where I can walk him within a foot of my boyfriend’s dog and he does not react to him. I was able to take him to Belmont Park where there were many dogs and he did not react at all. He didn’t bark, growl, or lunge. I was so happy with the progress. I highly recommend Amanda for anyone who needs assistance or tips on training. I am very pleased with the results.

Amanda & her team are incredible! We just finished the 8 one-on-one sessions for our 7mo old golden retriever puppy Maple and could not be happier with the results. Amanda breaks down training to make it simple and understandable. She took the time to make sure we understood how & when to use multiple tools and commands that have helped us and Maple tremendously. Our pup’s behavior has improved significantly throughout the four weeks we spent with Amanda, and we feel totally confident in using the commands & tools that we’ve learned through training.
