Furst Steps will exceed any and all of your expectations! Our Golden Retriever puppy, Gordie, recently graduated from the Furst Grade program (which he loved so much that we kept him in it until he was 8mths old!) and I truly cannot say enough good things about it. Every detail is handled with such care and creativity, from the training/programming of the week to the fun Instagram update posts…it’s obvious how passionate the entire team is! Thank you :)

I recently had the pleasure of enrolling my dog, Sonny, in Fursery School and just signed him up for Furst Grade at Furst Steps. I want to express my positive experience and commend the exceptional services provided by Alex and Jay, the owners of Furst Steps. Alex’s professionalism and dedication to helping dogs and their owners were evident from the beginning. Furst Steps not only provides outstanding training sessions, but Alex has also offered valuable resources and guidance’s to help reinforce the training at home. Her commitment to empowering dog owners with the knowledge and tools necessary for long-term success was truly commendable. I am thrilled to report that thanks to the excellent training provided by Alex at Furst Steps, my dog has shown remarkable improvements in behavior and obedience. It is clear that Alex’s expertise and genuine love for animals make a significant difference. UPDATE - Sonny has been attending daycare at Furst Steps now for almost 7 months since graduating from the training program and he absolutely loves it! They also celebrate the holidays and offer a variety of other services! Alex, Jay, and the whole staff are great and we also try to attend the group training classes they offer as much as possible. Sonny loves to see his buddies!

Throughout the years I have had many dogs in many different day cares, boarding places and training centers. This place and its owners are amazinggggg. My dog truly loved going to school. We would pull into the parking lot and his entire body started to wag! They post pictures every day. They are always available to answer questions. The facility is very clean. The reason I am giving this review is because the situation that occurred with my dog truly motivated me to see them for who they are. Amazing and caring dog lovers! I have worked in healthcare for over 25 years for many different companies. Health care like this buiness need to make money to stay open. While marketing we would paint pictures to make it seem like anything could work and the facilities were amazing and we could accommodate anything. This was never true. My dog Axol is an escape artist. The second Axel realized my dog could escape and get over gates she told us she couldn’t keep him safe and that we would have to find another facility. She refunded us the remainder of the money immediately. My plan was to keep Axol in daycare for years. They didn’t just want my money they wanted my dog to remain safe. That was their priority. While I was very sad I understood and their honestly was admirable.

Our girl Dottie recently graduated "Furst Grade", and we were able to take away so much advice and tools with us to help her build her confidence and obedience more at home moving forward! In researching training programs around our area when we first rescued her, we found Furst Steps and are so happy we did! First and foremost, Alex, Jay, and the team are patient and super kind, and you know they are in great hands during the day of classes. Dottie experienced a few health-related incidents outside of the class, and they worked with us to rearrange her program and checked-in with us a handful of times to see that she was okay! In addition, they provided report cards (how cute!) on how Dottie was during the week to include reading materials we could use at home to practice. One of our favorite things was the daily photos of the dogs playing and learning during the day - adorable! It was obvious how much Dottie loved her time here based on her tail wagging and excitement as she was dropped off each morning. After just four weeks, we learned so much about Dottie and her own behaviors, and we appreciated the honest feedback as we may not have gained this insight elsewhere. Not only does the personalized feedback create positive experiences for Dottie during her adolescence, but it helps us to strengthen our bond with her even more at home! Moving forward, we will be going to the Saturday group classes included with the package and are very excited to learn more with Furst Steps! We know Dottie will feel just the same :)
